  1. I just read this thread and couldn't believe my eyes. If this is how people treat scar sufferers on this board, perhaps I am in the wrong place. Yes, I think I am.
  2. I've read testimonials from people that cleared their acne by dropping all dairy and greasy foods from their diet. Dropping such foods doesn't help everyone, but it seems to help the majority.
  3. Glad you had great results! But phenol is too nasty for me. )
  4. Just make sure you wait at least a week before doing the TCA.
  5. I peel slower. Days 4 and 5 after I apply the TCA are the worst for me. Even day 6 can be bad. Arrrgh! But I have oily skin.
  6. If your scars/marks aren't very deep, the TCA Complex may help you over time.
  7. Loganwood is a bit expensive, in my opinion. You get .5 oz. for $49.00. You can make the stuff way cheaper by diluting the 50% solution. But I know some people would rather have someone else do it.
  8. What strength peel will you be using? The TCA Complex peel? It peels the same for me each time I use it. The 4th and 5th days after you apply it are usually the worst. So you might have to time it so that the peeling falls on the days you have off.
  9. Gotcha. I'm somewhat skinny so I didn't think of that. I was thinking pregnancy. )
  10. Oh, and make sure you use distilled water to dilute it.
  11. Yes, it will peel deeper. 10% or less gives you the option of stopping when you've had enough pain. ) With TCA, stronger is not necessarily better. I want to be in full control of the procedure. With 25%, you have very little control. And you won't need "heaps of layers" with 10%. Maybe 2 or 3. See this thread: http://acne.org/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=20333
  12. Hopefully the TCA will stimulate collagen production and the pit will fill in on its own.
  13. The more you apply, the more it will sting and the redder your face will be. So I recommend that you use a single light coat the first time. The stinging is a delayed reaction; you won't feel it for a minute or two. And DO NOT peel the skin off before it is ready to come off. If you do, you may scar yourself. If you don't think you have the patience to wait for it to come off, you should think twice about starting the procedure. I wish you well.
  14. It's supposed to be good for preventing stretch marks, but being a guy, I can't vouch for its effectiveness.
  15. Are you confusing TCA Complex with TCA CROSS?
  16. Thanks for the confirmation. I found out that the Skin Culture peels have a little phenol (<2%) in them. I think that's the nasty stuff that melts/liquifies your skin. Not sure if it's enough to do harm, but I worry about it.
  17. If you want to try this, I would use 50% TCA for the CROSS, not 100%.
  18. For a guy who was so adamant about doing an at-home 25% peel, you seem abnormally concerned with pain all of a sudden.
