  1. 4th months into Accutane and I'm much better than before starting the course, but I'm still breaking out sometimes. I also have scars remaining and they don't seem to fade away... there are 2 months left till the end of my course, I take 40 mg daily, I'm 70 kg. I see improvements, but I expected much more to be honest. What can I expect for the two remaining months? Will there be something major? Also I heard Accutane continues to work even after finishing the course, is that true? And what abou
  2. My acne was never painful though. It's very severe, but never painful. It's probably a side effect for you. I've got no side effects whatsoever. Expect dry lips, but I don't consider that a side effect tbh, since everybody gets it. If you don't then probably the drug doesn't work.
  3. I'm feeling exactly the same right now. I'm on my 8th week of Accutane right now, and I felt the same way as you - improvement first, then it all became worse. My skin is dry too so I can feel the drug is working, but not in improvements. But on the other hand, I haven't seen a single person saying that he/she drastically improved in the 2nd or 3rd month, most people describe this period as the "initial breakout" period where things are actually worse, after the 4th month is the period when peop
  4. Just fuc*ing go on Roaccutane and stop thinking about it already. NOTHING will cure your acne besides Accutane, I repeat NOTHING! I've tried numerous of antibiotics, local creams, benzoyl peroxide, Retin-A, I went full vegan, I drank 4 liters of water a day, I did EVERYTHING on Earth that's suggested for fighting acne, and I still look like shit. I'm currently on my second month of Accutane, let's see how it goes. I experience NO side effects whatsoever. This fear mongering of accutane is so p
  5. Do you think certain foods can cause Acne? Many people say it's true, some say it's a myth. Personally, I think it's a myth [no, I'm not just telling myself that]. I did an experiment months ago. I stopped eating all unhealthy foods, I went full vegetarian and I drank only water, up to 4 liters a day... aaaand.. I still broke out like crazy. Then I continued my normal food habits - unhealthy food, soda and less than a liter of water, and nothing has ever changed so far. Of course it's
  6. I finished my 2nd month of the course, now I'm going into the 3rd month, and I barely notice any differences. I never really felt the drug, honestly. No side effects, no improvements, no worsening, nothing. I'm starting to doubt if it works at all. Even my blood tests are the same. I didn't even feel the most common things associated with accutane, like dry skin and lips. I don't wanna get discouraged, I will finish the course, but seriously, is this how it's supposed to be?
  7. Few questions if I might ask. When did you start seeing results from Accutane? Did you get worse before you got better? Do you think 20mg is too low for a 70kg person?
  8. Is there something I can do to prevent the Initial Breakout?
  9. Thank you for your replies. I'm on day 5 now and honestly, I don't feel anything. Not even dry skin/lips .. I'm wondering if the drug really works on me. I remember when I was little, my body rejected antibiotics. Accutane ain't one but still ..

    Roaccutane, Week 3

Did you get any side effects?
  11. I'm starting to take accutane tomorrow, will start off with 40mg for 2 weeks, then 20mg for the rest of the course. Please tell me about your experience. What should I know. What am I supposed to feel during the course. Are there any foods that are counter-effective. Any help is appreciated, just tell me your personal experience. Please, comments only people who used accutane at some point.
