  1. Hi TheLinkster007, I totally understand you're sick of this. You should defenitely try accutane. I've been on three courses but had to quitte the last time because my eyes got too dry. Accutane works great, it might take a long time, but it will work eventually. I was really lucky my docter prescribed it because my acne is pretty mild but I was really depressed so he gave it to me and I was so happy because it worked great. And for a lot of people the acne doesn't come back, unfortunately I'm
  2. Hi, I've been using benzoyl peroxide on and off for years. It works but not for long: I always get more and more pimples and eventually I stop using it because I'm back the way to the way it was. I don't think the bacteria can get resistant to bp because it would take way to much changes for them to survive the oxygen from the bp. I think that all the bacteria on the surface are killed, and only the bacteria deep in my pores survive. So what I need to do is also kill the bacteria deep in my
  3. Eggs are dairy, and dairy is known to be bad for acne because of hormones in milk. But egg is not a milk product, so is it okay to eat eggs?? Biological eggs with omega 3 is okay right??
  4. Hi everyone, Some scientific studies showed that milk and milk products like yoghurt and cheese can cause break outs because of the hormones in it. Do you think whey also causes break outs, because it's made from milk protein?? Or is the amount of hormones in whey so small it won't make a difference?
  5. You can force yourself to sleep on your back by putting a big headset on your ears. I think I'm going to try that tonight!
  6. Yeah my derm told me that today: anti-biotics are against inflammation, not so much against bacteria. Is this new?? Because I don't think he read the article.
  7. Hi, I was on minocin 3,5 years a go and it didn't do anything for my skin. I've been on 2,5 courses of accutane but quitte because of severe dry eyes. Now my derm prescribed me doxycline. That's a tetra-antibiotic, just like minocin. So do you think doxycycline will work although minocin didn't?? Regards
  8. Hi, Thursday I got my acne lamp and friday I got 3 extra inflamed pustules. They haven't gotten any better yet, I've been using my Beauty Skin every day. The woman who sold me this lamp already warned me that in 50 % of the cases acne got worse first. That's because your skin first has to get rid of waste products, she said. But I don't understand that. Can somebody explain this too me?? Are there more people here who experienced a break out in the first days??
  9. See the title: what's the difference between antibacterial and anti-inflammatory? Because blue light is said to be anti bacterial and red anti-inflammatory, but I thought that's the same thing. Maybe it's my english (I'm dutch...) Can somebody explain this to me??
  10. WARNING!!!!!! My mild acne became moderate due to this method. I'm pretty sure this dipping with hot water stimulates oil production. That's probably why most people see improvement first because pores get opened and cleaned and the bacteria die due to the hot water, but than after 3 or 4 weeks acne comes back worse because the oil production has increased.
  11. Jup i quite all my topicals too two weeks ago and my face looks great!! One zit and three very little red things. Also been taking GLA, seems to work. So glad i don't have to put all my topicals on for 45 minutes every single morning and evening when I'm coming home late!!!
  12. My modelagency recommends Rescue Cream from Bach Therapy for my mild acne. I googled it and Bach is some kind of homeopathic doctor who developped these weird therapies. The cream has 6 different plant extracts in it and some sites also mention it does wonders for acne. It's not fat and it doesn't contain parfum, so that's good. Has anyone heard of this Rescue Cream?? I'm like an acne expert and I've never heard of it..... Though I think my modelagency knows what they're talking about so I deci
