  1. Hi, guys! I figured it's about time for a post, since I've been using about the same regimen for a few months now. Here's what I've been using: AM: -Aveeno Ultra Calming Cleanser OR Dan's Cleanser, depending on how dry my skin feels -Dan's Salicylic Acid+ or Dan's AHA+, alternating every day. Wait 30 minutes to sink in -Olay Complete for Sensitive Skin, SPF 15 on top and around eyes PM: -Aveeno Ultra Calming Cleanser OR Dan's Cleanser with Clarisonic (delicate brush head) for 1 min. -Alter
  2. I think that it might help you, but maybe not with blackheads. I use the Paula's Choice BHA Gel, Liquid, and Lotion 2% every day and it helped a ton with the closed comedones, but eventually I realized it wasn't removing my blackheads. So now I use Green Cream Level 6 for that, and it's working nicely. Who knows, just the PC may work for you, but if it doesn't I'd highly recommend trying out the Green Cream. Oh, and the lotion may be better for your dry skin - try out the gel, who knows, you
  3. Hi! I have had really good luck with Green Cream Level 6 and Paula's Choice BHAs, so my skin is looking pretty great! My only problem now is that I can't find any sunscreens that don't clog my pores right back up! Lately I've been going without it, which is really bad because I'm a college student and I walk around outside for an hour each day. It's starting to take a toll on my skin, so I'm back on the hunt! Has anyone else found a non-greasy sunscreen that doesn't clog your pores? Than
  4. Hi! I am getting the one and only cyst that I've had for like 5 years drained on Friday, and I'm scared. Mostly because I don't know what to expect. Is it painful? I am supposed to administer a psychological study later in the day... Will I be bleeding or need to wear a patch? How long did it take? Anything you can add would be greatly appreciated!
  5. I strongly suggest staying away from sheer cover- the makeup they sell isn't that great, and they are apparently scam artists. Beware! You can find more info here: http://www.infomercialscams.com/scams/sheer_cover_complaints
  6. how can you be so sure of it? i finally got my EDM samples..now im scared to try it.
  7. Shrug... I really think the EM broke me out - or that maybe I'm allergic to it. Today I didn't wear it, and I left some Aveeno Ultra-Calming moisturizer on last night, and my skin seems to be calming down again. If it's not the EM I have no idea what it could have been, since I did everything else the same. I don't know. Based on the Colorstay recommendations, I decided to buy some Revlon Colorstay Active in the lightest shade... I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you all know if it work
  8. Also, I think you can see my picture in my profile, so you can get an idea of what my coloring is like.
  9. Hi everyone... I am really new to this board, never posted here before. Since you all are the makeup gurus, I thought I would ask you for advice. I am really, really pale, and I'm trying to find a foundation that actually works for me. I tried Clinique's Stay True Makeup - it didn't seem to break me out, but all the shades in the line are too dark for me. Then I tried Everyday Minerals, and the Medium Fair shade was almost a perfect match - but after a couple days, I had closed comedone CIT
  10. Tophat, your skin sounds exactly like mine. In the summer, I'm incredibly oily around the forehead and nose, and even some on my chin. My cheeks aren't terrible, but again, they get oilyish in the summer, too. Hope that helps!
  11. eisley - I would strongly recommend that you try using Dan's BP gel if you're going to combine BP and BHAs. Why? Because I use it, first off, and it works amazingly well for me. Also, because Dan's is only 2.5% BP, which is better if you don't want to irritate your skin. In my experience, the 2.5% BP works just as well as the 5% and 10% BPs, but it doesn't make me flake or get too dry. Seriously, when you start combining BHA and BP, if you use too high of a concentration of BP it will proba
  12. There's a good chance it could work for you. Everyone's skin is different, but in my experience the 2% BHA liquid works great for the closed comedones and blackheads like you said you have. As for purging, as long as you don't pick your acne, it shouldn't scar. I can't promise that you wouldn't purge the gunk out of your pores - it does have to come out somehow - but if you will leave it alone and let it come out on its own, it shouldn't scar I don't think. Continual exfoliation is not bad
