I first tried this as a teenager. I was so afraid to use moisturizer because everything was clogging my pores and causing more breakouts, that I stopped using any at all and continued using harsh treatments. My skin was so dry and irritated, it literally hurt to smile. I got desperate and decided to try this because it's fragrance free and the ingredients looked nice. I am so glad I tried it! It instantly gave my skin relief and within a week my skins texture returned to normal and it even had t

Can't Find Cause for Sudden, Painful Acne

First thing that came to mind when you mentioned you were on antibiotics and then you said you're on birth control pills is a Candida overgrowth. Are you having issues with fatigue, brain fog, a white coating on your tongue, and digestive issues? If so, I would cut out sugar, wheat and caffeine. Look up the candida diet for things to avoid and things to add to your diet. Probiotics, plenty of vitamins, fermented foods such as kimchee, kefir and kombucha, dark leafy greens, coconut oil, turmeric

    Cyst on cheek for weeks???

Oh no, don't pop it. I know it's tempting. Cysts are more like an infection that affects the pores around it and if you squeeze it, it can make it worse. Keep up with any treatments you're using on it. The thing that helps me most with cysts is making sure I'm drinking plenty of water, cutting out caffeine and sugar, limiting or excluding dairy and grains and taking lots of vitamins. Your skin needs to heal it from the inside.

    Skin care help required please

Sounds like your skin is reacting to the bp. Mine is the same way, bp dries the living crap out of my skin, irritates it like no other, while my acne just sits there unchanged. Salicylic acid and lactic acid are my favorites. I think you should find a good, basic moisturizer that won't clog your pores and maybe ditch the rest of Dan's products. They work for a lot of people, but I think your skin is trying to tell you something. My favorite moisturizer is The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Day Cream. I

Does it tingle/itch at all? It might be a good idea to stop touching or squeezing it. That will just make the swelling worse and make it take longer to heal. Witch hazel might help dry it out without irritating it further, or it might help if you dissolve an aspirin tablet with a bit of honey and leave the paste on it for 7-10 minutes.

Oh man, do I know how you feel. I started getting acne when I was 13. At around 15 years old, it got so bad, I had it all over my chest and back, as well as on my face. I had some friends who would comment on every cyst I got, no matter how well I thought I concealed them. I'm 23 now and I still have issues keeping my skin clear, but I'm almost there. The thing about your family and the other people who have commented on your skin is, they are extremely ignorant/inconsiderate. It's likely they n

    picked dry skin help!!!!!!!!!

A little Neosporin and covering with a bandaid at night helps me when I have spots like that. Try to keep it moist so you're not tempted to pick at it again.

    OPEN acne wound PLEASE HELP

Late to the post, sorry! If you have something like this pop up again, get some hydrocolloid bandaids. They are made for blisters, so they actually draw excess moisture from the wound, while also protecting and helping it heal. I leave them on overnight. I break out in cystic acne, sometimes the cysts/swelling are almost as big as a quarter. Add that in with OCD and I don't stop picking/squeezing until I bruise the area or I'm bleeding. When the wound isn't open anymore, neosporin helps hydrate

    Sudden outrageous breakout

That's very interesting. What is your diet like? I would keep a food log and see if there are any foods you're consuming that might be triggering your acne. When you are breaking out, are there any changes in the amount of stress you're experiencing? That also might have something to do with it.

    Does quinoa cause acne ?

If it's something you're sensitive to, absolutely. Have you eaten it before or is it new to your diet? Another thing to consider, if you're female, is where you are in your cycle. I know I've thought food was making me break out, only to realize I was a few days away from starting my period.

    Struggling with PCOS diet :(

What does your usual meal plan/grocery list look like? The PCOS diet should be anything but bland and you shouldn't be feeling like your starving, either. It looks pretty similar to Autoimmune Paleo.

washing your face three times a day?

If it were me, I would just splash my face with cool water to remove sweat and save the cleansers for in the morning/at night, but it depends on your skin. Try it for a bit and see how your skin responds.

    Work lunch ideas?

Next time you go grocery shopping, look for steam in bag quinoa. I got one the other day that was fantastic. It had quinoa, chickpeas, lentils and lots of spices. Put some salad greens in a container on one side with a squeeze of lemon and some olive oil and some of that quinoa on the other and you've got a filing, guilt free lunch.

Paleo Diet 1 Month No cheating.

Sounds good! Keep us updated on any changes. I'm doing AIP, skin is already looking better. What do you usually snack on in between meals?
  15. Refined sugar, avocados and almonds. Three of my favorite things.
