  1. Okay, I've been on the Regimen for about a year and a half now and I'm trying to tweak everything just to my liking. Specifically, I want to get the cost of everything down without sacrificing results. Right now, this is what I do: Morning: Cetaphil Cleanser Regimen BP Cetaphil Moisturizer Night: Cetaphil Cleanser Regimen BP Lac Hydrin Five + ~3 drops of jojoba oil Seeing the price of Dan's cleanser I am going to make the switch to that almost for sure. Now, his moisturizer is more expensive
  2. Brandy: Probably less often than I should. I also thought this might be the issue but since coming home from college for semester break (my pillowcases are washed much, much more frequently at home) I have noticed no difference in my skin. I think I'll try alternating sides like you mentioned, though. And yes, I use loads of BP. A nice, wide finger-length serving morning and night, enough to make my mom nag me about using too much. =) Gyroscope: You know, I thought that for a while myself. I ca
  3. I started the DKR in the middle of April or so and it has done a very good job on the whole. I really haven't ever been "clear", though, always having a few blemishes. I have tried a few things to correct this, mostly changing products, but nothing has really helped thus far and I can't quite pin down what might be causing my mixed success. I follow the DKR exactly with one major exception: electric razor. I have always used an electric and it doesn't really irritate my skin much. I did try to
  4. Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalane, Bisabolol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Oleate, Stearic Acid, PEG-12 Glyceryl Distearate, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin. Copied verbatim from the info page for the moisturizer. To be totally honest I'm a little bummed by the absence of any AHA but I might give it a try anyhow. I'm pretty annoyed with my Cetaphil right now. I'll eith
  5. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the responses. Good to know I can blot some of the oiliness away - I had considered that but was afraid of doing so and causing irritation. I'll try diluting the moisturizer a bit as well. Before I do that, though, should I wait for my skin to adjust to the level of BP I am using so that some of the dryness and flakiness goes away?
  6. More newbie questions... I've been on DKR for about three weeks now and am using the standard Cetaphil moisturizer. My skin is very, very dry and flaky after I use cleanser, especially in the morning. I am using a full finger of BP and about 3/4 a finger of moisturizer morning and night. Even though my skin is very dry, the moisturizer doesn't seem to get fully absorbed like the BP and as soon as three hours after applying it my skin is feeling oily. Another couple hours later it is getting not
  7. I tried asking this in the shaving topic about a week ago but I haven't gotten a response. I have always used an electric razor to shave and do so every day. Thing is, I like to have a close shave in the morning and the recommended two-blade razors are just not doing it for me. My facial hair comes in pretty thick, and unless I go against the grain there is no way I can get a good shave. My electric works very well and minimizes the need to go over any area too many times. Would it be okay to
  8. Hmm... Good point, I hadn't thought of it that way. I suppose it is quite a lot of BP - I'll stick to spot treatment for now. The cream is terrible for anything other than spots anyway, clumps up something awful. Thanks once again for all your advice! You have been extremely helpful.
  9. Great post, extraordinarily helpful. Thank you. I do have one question. The first post mentions avoiding the addition of extra products or products that are not specifically recommended. I just started the regimen a few days ago and have been phasing in regimen-appropriate products as they come in (ordering online). Right now the only thing I don't have is the DKR BP gel. I suspect it will be arriving very soon but I have been using about a quarter finger of the Clearasil (10% BP cream) I was
  10. Okay, I'm not sure if this question applies here but you seem to be the local shaving guru so... I just started the regimen a few days ago. I have always shaved using an electric razor. I would say it never irritated my skin much but to be completely honest this whole concept of being mindful of skin irritation is pretty new to me. The first couple of days on the regimen I tried going with Good News razors and found them to be terrible. I like a close, clean shave every day and that was just no
