  1. BP doesn't cause rosacea but it can exacerbate the condition. If these red patches appeared after you started using AHA, then I'd suggest that stop using AHA. Additionally, if you have patches of red, irritated skin, I wouldn't recommend using additional products on your skin as you could risk making the condition worse.
  2. Are you using the full regimen in the morning as well as at night? If you're still experiencing dryness and discomfort during the day, then you probably should decrease you moisturizer in the morning. But you could also apply extra moisturizer during the day if you feel you need it. Make sure that you're being extra gentle while applying your products, especially if you're applying extra throughout the day.
  3. You'll never know unless you try it. Just try the BP once a day, and if you experience an increase in breakouts then you'll know you need to continue using BP twice a day.
  4. I still love Cetaphil. However, I have used CeraVe and I think it's a fantastic moisturizer for people with very dry skin. It was simply too moisturizing for me.
  5. For me, the recommended amount of moisturizer was way too much for me. I did not experience much dryness or irritation when starting the regimen, so it was simply too much moisturizer. However, it is vitally important to adequately moisturize your skin on the regimen.
  6. Yep, it's supposed to be a little thinner than the BP. I didn't have a breakout when starting AHA. Just super smooth skin!
  7. Hearing positive results from regular AHA users gives me a little hope that things will get better, so thanks. Do you still use BP twice a day? If you only use it once a day, could you describe how you started using less (like did you apply less product, or did you just apply it once a day)? I am trying to figure out the best way to lower my BP use without wreaking havoc on my face. I use a pea-sized amount of BP twice a day. I've been on the regimen for so long (over 5 years now) that I've fo
  8. Okay, I understand now. I don't count the 10-15 minute wait in between the steps as time spent doing the regimen as you're actually doing nothing at all. I just really think you're not giving the regimen enough time to work, regardless of how it worked for you the first time. I mean, with any other acne treatment, it would be crazy to only give it two weeks to decide whether or not it's working.

  10. While I don't have olive skin, I have been using Dan's AHA religiously for the past few years. I think it's a great product and has been very effective in improving my skin tone and texture, but it does take a while of consistent use to start seeing noticeable results. I really started seeing noticeable improvements in my skin after a few months of nightly use.
  11. My opinion is that you have not been on the regimen long enough this time to determine whether or not the regimen is working for you. I'd recommend that you stay on the regimen for a while longer to give it a chance to start working. I have not had any issues with the effectiveness of the regimen over time. I've been on the regimen for five years and it still works great for me. It takes you an hour and a half every day to do the regimen? What takes so long?
  12. I hope you find a treatment that works better for you!
  13. Yep, that is the exact lotion I used as well, and with the same results. Very interesting.. I will have to give Dan's AHA a shot instead. Thanks so much. No problem! Dan's AHA feels completely different from the Alpha Hydrox lotion. I definitely do not have any of the same irritation with Dan's AHA.
