  1. I have been clear for a bit now and want to stay that way but this winter has been so brutally cold and my skin is very very dry. Almost every inch is peeling. I don't really want to over exfoliate all this dead skin off, I want to try to add moisurizer and let it come off naturally. What moisurizer works good without causing breakouts? I am looking for something to wear to bed that I can wash off in the AM. I don't like the way it feels on my skin and it makes me look shiny (and I need no
  2. I had one recently on the side of my nose near my eye. Also hormonal (that time of the month) I didn't do anything to it except put BP on it. One day it popped by itself. It left a red mark thats been there about a month now and a giant hole. The only thing I could think of is it is because I have fair skin or maybe the infection inside was so big it damaged the pore permanently. I would love to know why this happens too.
  3. Hi Orchid, I have been there and done that. You get this feeling of "I am 30 this stuff is supposed to be over already" I didn't want to be going through acne with my kids. I finally broke down and saw the derm when I got so depressed over it all. She couldn't help my back acne at all (whole different story) but I did learn a thing or 2 about my face. Mine was also cystic. 1) Antibiotics did not work for me 2) The more I washed the worse I made it 3) Picking is bad 4) From the derms mouth
  4. Olay age defying face wash Works great!!!
  5. Its been a while since I last posted. I was looking for something to help with dry skin this winter and not clog my pores and I thought I would share what has been working for my back for about 1.5 years now (knocks on wood). I battled with Back Acne for years, even the derm couldn't help me so I gave up going to her. I faithfully use glytone gel on my face and thats worked for me for a very long time. One day when I went to order the gel for my face I noticed they came out with a back spr
  6. I believe you may be right. I came to this forum looking for some help with my back acne that came out of no where. I went to the derm who gave me antibiotics that didn't really help. Then I realized maybe its something that is touching my skin, because I surely wasn't touching it with my hands. I switched to Tide Free, Downy for Sensitive skin (both are white bottles) and dove sensitive skin body wash (fragrance free) Knock on wood my back acne cleared up and has been gone for months. Som
  7. I used glytones 10% bp. It works better then any BP I have used from the drug stores, but I can only find it online. Even though its 10% it doesn't dry me out.
  8. I have the same problem, it used to annoy me especially when going into clubs and the bouncers thinking my ID was a fake. Now that I am closer to 30...I'm 28 now, I am enjoying it LOL My kids make me feel older then I am, so now when I get carded I appreciate it LOL On top of looking super young I am also super skinny which doesnt help. I get comments like "dont you ever eat" or "you need to eat something" That annoys me more then people thinking I am younger than I really am. I eat like a
  9. I swear by dove and olay love them both. I use dove sensitive skin body wash, and they also make a sensitive skin face wash. Both are supposed to be unscented but I think they smell faintly like rose petals. At any rate both work great for me. I started with the dove sensitive skin for some acne on my back and it has cleared it completely up. I buy the dove cleansing clothes also sensitive skin, if I want to quickly wash after sweating etc. My AM and PM routine are same exactly the same, W
  10. Honestly that sounds like a heat rash. If you search heat rash on google you should be able to find some pictures of it. Good Luck
  11. You are brave...all I can say is OUCHHHHH! If it works for you great, but I would be curious to know if it is getting into your blood stream. I would think bleach is a poison and not good for you at all.
  12. Ok, this is going to sound silly. I can laugh about it now, but I didn't think it was funny at the time LOL My eye swelled shut a few years ago and became red (the skin around it) It started to hurt to I went to the ER (lucky for me this stuff always happens on the weekened LOL) Well the doctor took a look, and I had a zit on my nose, it wasn't very big but it was on the bridge of my nose. Here the infection from the zit had spread to the socket around my eye. So essentially I went to the
  13. Those scars are different from acne. My daughter broke her hand and was stitched by a plastic surgeon. You can't even tell. (Granted she is 7 and heals better LOL) With skin grafts and an excelent surgeon its amazing what they can do. You just wouldn't go to these lenghts for acne scars they are a different kind of scar and I don't think stitching them is an option.
  14. This is what I have found... Precautions While Using This Medicine When using salicylic acid and sulfur combination medicine, do not use any of the following preparations on the same affected area as this medicine , unless otherwise directed by your doctor: Abrasive soaps or cleansers Alcohol-containing preparations Any other topical acne preparation or preparation containing a peeling agent (for example, benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, or tretinoin [vitamin A acid]) Cosmetics or soaps that d
  15. If it is infact a cyst or underground pimple, they can inject it. I had one injected a few weeks ago, the pain was gone almost instantly, and the size reduced dramatically in 24 hours and was totally gone by day 3. The only thing I noticed is it left a tiny purple mark where the cyst was. It is fading now, I guess I would rather have a little mark then a big bump. As far as accutane, the derm will be the one to decide. I have never heard them use it as a preventative messure, only because o
