so far i have had this white bump on my skin for over a week or two, it hasn't hardened yet and gone away. i'm just wondering how long do these things last. thanks in advance.

i have a fairly obvious looking hyperthropic scar, it's not massively indented but it covers an uncomfortably large area of my face, and i'd like to get this removed. what are some methods out there that you guys have gone thru that made this stuff go away - if it is even possible - and whether i can do this during accutane treatments. thanks in advance

it seems as if my acne is getting worse and worse every year... this time i've got some raised little white things on my face which i assume is hypertophic scar since it isn't itchy so i guess that rules out it being a keloid... they aren't very visible but you can still see them close up. they are white, and thankfully they don't stand out as much, but i still want to get rid of them... is there a way to get rid of white hypertophic scar?

no pictures, sorry but i'll try to describe the scar in detail. basically it's whitish and circular in shape (small but noticable). it's quite low right now and it has been there since november. i talked to my dermatologist about it and he said it was just a white head but i'm getting doubts about it because whiteheads usually in my experience don't last this long. basically my question(s) are, do i have a keloid, can it be fixed over a few months or do i have to resort to procedures, and will

i've got a dark red/purplish pimple on my nose and i'm wondering if that's a bad sign that it will scar. i'm planning on getting my dermatologist to take it out via cortison shot but i'm wodnering if it's already too late and it will scar...?

i have a scar on my face, seems to have gotten deeper since yesterday. i'm just wondering if scars can be fully treated and healed to the point where it is removed... thanks in advance.

thanks guys for the info. the reason i posed this question is because my dermatologist said that you should not even bother getting an injection after the cyst/pimple/etc is on your skin for a long period of time. so i don't really know what to believe here, but i'll see what can be done this monday. in my experience when i've had it it usually went down even though the pimple was a week or a week and a half old.

my dermatologist said that if i had any acne that needed to be taken care of, i could go ask for an appointment and get an injection so it will go down and prevent scarring. the question is, how long does a pimple have to be on the skin for the injection to be ineffective? i've had this pimple for maybe two weeks? but it recently started to flare up all of a sudden at around this monday-tuesday and i plan to get an injection on monday.

i'm just wondering what do they look for in a blood test before the dermatolagist prescribes accutane for a patient. sugar levels? cholesterol?

So I went to the dermatologist today and he suggested I either continue with the regimin that I'm on right now except with a few modifications, or go all the way with Accutane. I figure my prom is in April and if my acne were to stop right now when using this stuff, I'd be healed up in time. it's kind of purple and it's surrounded by red. this was one where i actually picked on it as soon as i started seeing puss forming. it was wrong but... i'm hoping that it's not like a mark on my face. is this a 'mark' scar or will it go away?

did the seivemeicin work for you? i'm using it right now for like almost two years now and it's not working yet.
