  1. Are smaller percentages of salicylic acid (0.5%, 1.0%, etc.) just as effective as, say, 2.5%? Kind of like BP, where 2.5% is just as effective as 10%? Because I'm using an astringent with 2.5% salicylic acid and, while my pimples and whiteheads are gradually disappearing, I think it's really overdrying my face. I say "I think" because after I apply it my face kinda burns (bearable) and it's not really tight or dry, it just feels clean. But when I put my moisturizer (Cetaphil) on afterwards, my f
  2. I read something about milia a couple days ago and I think I get those quite often but I'm just making sure by asking you all. I get these things on my face that are not noticeable to the naked eye whatsoever. I just thought they were different versions of whiteheads but I think it may be milia. It's just like a little bump in my skin and after a couple days I can feel something coming out of it. If I "pop" it or extract it, it is firm and has a definitive shape whereas a regular pimples content
  3. I'm going into my 7th week of the regimen and I really feel that the regimen is just not for me. At the moment, I have one pimple, whereas before BP, I'd have maybe two or three at a time. My real problem is red marks, it makes my acne look worse than it really is. BP is making my red marks worse because it's drying my skin out (duh!) and dry skin can't very well heal properly. Is there any natural substitution for BP? Tea tree oil, witch hazel, anything? I'm looking for something that won't dry
  4. Just some quick questions for anyone who can answer : I bought some ACV last night, Heinz brand with 5% acidity, and when I applied it to my face I felt absolutely nothing. Not a tingle, not a burning sensation, nada. Did I get the right stuff? And, I'm sure someone has said something about this before but I'm too lazy to look, this stuff smells like straight ass. It made me nauseous when I tried to go to sleep with it on my face. I eventually did sleep, but I can't imagine walking around with
  5. I'm an 18 yr. old girl who's trying to eat healthier, by introducing more fruits and veggies to my diet, less sugar and salt and less frozen foods. My problem is that I started a new job where I work primarily 2 pm - 10 pm every night and I don't have time to eat dinner. Is there anything I can buy that is healthy to snack on or should I buy fruit and just bring it with me? Any ideas?
  6. I bought this awhile back, I only used it for about 1-2 months. It made my skin really soft, but it goes on thick and when it absorbs it feels greasy and made my face shiny. I don't think it really made a whole lot of difference with my acne, or my face in general.
  7. The whiteheads I'm not really concerned about, they go away within a couple days and they're barely noticeable; it's the big, red ones I'm worried about. I've had some like this maybe a couple times my whole life, but 4 sprouted up this week on my left cheek and 1 remains on my right cheek from last week. They take FOREVER to develop a head and once they do, they take forever to heal and of course the redness will still linger and the icing on the cake is that they leave raised areas on my cheek
  8. I'm on my 3rd, almost 4th, week of the regimen and for the first two weeks I saw a definite improvement. Things were healing up nicely and sometime in the last week my cheeks and the area around my mouth has freaked out. My T-zone is completely clear (my forehead, nose and middle of my chin) Around my mouth, I have small bumps and whiteheads but on my cheeks right next to my mouth I'm getting huge, red, pimples. They don't have heads, they're just coming up horribly inflamed. Do I just need to g
  9. Oh, wow, I feel really dumb now. How come I didn't think about that? Well, I'm almost out of the Clear Pore/Cleanser Mask so I guess I'll switch to On-The Spot. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina and I know we have a Proactiv kiosk at the mall near here, but do you know how much a single bottle of the repairing lotion would be? I'm looking for the cheapest alternative.
  10. Whenever I apply my BP (which is Neutrogena Clear Pore/Cleanser Mask for now, at night), I rub it in for as long as I can, but eventually it gets too dry to rub around and I have this white crap all over my face. I don't mind because I'm going to sleep when I do it anyways. I don't have this problem during the day because I use Stridex's Day & Night 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel so my face won't be white, but it's discontinued. So now, I have to figure out how to get BP cream to completely absor
