  1. Yea i agree with the above post. I really wish there was a cure for acne....but doesnt everyone? It would make things so much easier. On the other hand, theres a ton of regimens out there, some work for some people and others dont, I think it all really depends on you and your skin. I never liked BP but others swear by it. Im getting ready to try Diacneal which is glycolic acid 6% and Retinol in 1 after cleansing at night and then after cleansing during the day just a moisturizer. Hopefully th
  2. I see, I thought about trying Gly derm 5% glycolic acid lotion during the day once my skin adjusts to the Diacneal of course. But im hoping I see good results with no redness or peeling like you did , that would make me happy. By the way, what cleanser are you using if you dont mind me asking? I found aquafina products the other day, I think i read a post on here, so i went out and bought them. The cleanser is gentle with no active, but sometimes i think it dries me out a little. thanks haha a
  3. I dont know, I never heard that. My derm actually told me to use it for my active acne, just like I used to use BHA's.
  4. Im looking into using some type of glycolic acid product for me acne, Im wondering who else has used GA and what they thought of it. I hear its very harsh and rough on the skin, wondering if this is true?
  5. Thats awesome, thanks for the reply. It took me awhile to realize I had one since nobody else posted and my topic sorda dropped quick. I actually just ordered mine yesterday, so I cant wait to get it. I have high hopes, I think it seems like a really decent product and I see a lot of people have had good results with it. Im mostly worried about the glycolic acid. I keep hearing about how rough and harsh glycolic acid is. My skin cant handle BP and ive been told if it cant handle BP theres no wa
  6. Stardancer, Thanks a lot for the reply, I def. think im going to try glycolic acid now, Ive tried BP and a lot of other things, but just as you said, I still got those inflamed pustules, and sometimes 4 or 5 a day. So hopefully this will keep working for you and work for me to. good luck Heartless, the same. Thanks a bunch, I dont care for BP, i dont like how it irritates my skin, dries it or any of those side effects, I just cant bring myself to believe thats good for my face, whether it clea
  7. So I have inflamed acne for the most part, big red bumps that eventually turn to heads, which I despise. Would glycolic acid work for me? I was thinking glycolic acid during the day and Retinol at night. DO you think this would work or am I wasting my time?
  8. Im tired of my acne now, just like everyone here. Ive tried everything also like the majority of the people here, haha, and Now im getting to point where i need something that works. I hear a lot about Diacneal.....If anyone has used this or is using it.....PLEASE let me know what you think.
  9. I used BP awhile back to, and I had the same reaction as sluttygirl69 except not quite as bad. My face was cracked, bleeding, dry, irritated, you name it. Moisturizer didnt help either, which i used cetaphil at the time, it only made it burn worse though. I would go to work and smile and my chin felt like pottery breaking, it was flakey like you wouldnt believe. But i bought dans and it didnt seem to bother me as much, sometimes i think it may just be the name brand.
  10. Yea i know, I had a hard time finding this....And i ended up having to buy it off the internet. I didnt realize that the aquaphor wash is the same thing, haha, i can find that everywhere. thanks for your input, hopefully i like them. Have you tried their moisturizers at all?
  11. Hi there, thanks for taking your time to help us. I was interested in using Eucerins Aquaphor healing ointment, in conjunction with Dans regimen. The main ingredient is Petrolatum and Mineral oil is also pretty high up on the list. I contacted Paula from Paulas choice and she said that she can say 100% for sure that Petrolatum and mineral oil are non-comedogenic. The molecules are too large to enter the pore is part of the response. Is this true? Are those 2 ingredients considered non-comedogeni
  12. Anyone here ever use Eucerins gentle cleanser before? I was thinking about buying that or Eucerins Redness Relief cleanser. Just wondering if anyones used them and what they though.
  13. I posted this somewhere else, but maybe i'll get more hits here. I recently started the Dan regimen. But im scared at how its going. Ive been doing it for around a week now give or take a day. I normally get big red bumps...i was told by my doc its inflamatory acne and im supposed to use BP for that. Well my face cleared up, but now its all broken out again. Is this normal? Am i to expect this? It was semi smooth and nice looking, now i have red inflammed bumps coming and going everywhere and mo
  14. Hey guys. I recently started the Dan regimen. But im scared at how its going. Ive been doing it for around a week now give or take a day. 15. Hey there snowqueen. How have you been? I had a question for you. You said in your list of things not to do, not to purchase cleansers that have medication in them, such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. I agree with what you said and i understand it totally. But why do so many companies make products, specifcally cleansers that have some type of medication in them? It just crosses my mind a lot. Dermatologists and those alike are supposed to help people, but it seems to me like recommendin
