  1. No sweetheart. Showers are good to clean yourself. But since you have over active oil glands, the shower isn't this same thing as soaking your entire face for 20 minutes in warm bath water. You know how you skin wrinkles on your fingers when you soak in the bath? Think about what that is doing to the skin on your face. I couldn't believe it. I threw out all of my stinking zit zaper chemicals and am just doing the soaking how. however using a good face soap when you come out of the water is good
  2. I hope I am not appearing to bombard message boards. However, I feel that this simple routine should take care of acne for everyone. It is just a matter of how often you have to do it. Or how long you will have to soak. The results are instant. Note: If the acne was there before you started soaking, it will heal faster, but is a sore and still needs to heal. You will not get new acne. 1# Fill your bathtub full of hot/warm water. The warmer the water is, the better (but don't scald yourself).
  3. Have you tried this? This does work, instantly in fact. It just doesn't cost anything and you can't sell any products, that's all. Why don't you go stick your head under the warm water for 20 min and come back? The sores, cuts, or scabs will still be there (but they will heal faster), but the clogged pores, that caused those things to happen, won't. No blackheads, or grayish ones will be there. You will know that it worked because you will see the wet oil pooling into the pore where the clog us

  5. A hot wet rag is good. Soaking is a much more drastic measure. Maybe you only want to soak once a week or if your pores are not clogging so much, once a month, for a deep cleanse.
  6. Once the pore becomes completely cleaned, you should have to soak less. I would do it when you don't see the oil glistening on your skin anymore. That probably means that it is clogged again. Aveeno, oil free, is a great moisturizer. The problem then is slowing the oil secretion. You need to find out what is causing the increase in oil production. It is different for different people. Eating vegetables is always good. Use oil blotting pads to decrease the amount of oil on the skin.
  7. You can do it before bed. I haven't tested this yet, but to make the process faster, you may be able to put chopped lemons or apple cider vinegar into the tub (Don't open your eyes!). Oil blotting tissues can soak up with pouring oil, but if the oil gets hard, you will have to soak again. For Girls: If you take an hour to apply makeup to cover the acne, then why not spend 20 minutes (all at once) just one time a week and not have the problem in the first place? Here is a lazy way to do it: Po

Or how long you will have to soak. 1# Fill your bathtub full of hot/warm water. 2# Get a snorkeling tube and put your entire head under water for 20 min-hour. Breath through the snorkeling tube. What you should see: Blackheads will lessen or disappear. You will see little pools oil in the unclogged pores. Th

  11. I have had those occasionally too. I have been taking a lot of vitamin C, which boosts my immune system to fight infection. Also, I have been soaking in warm/hot bath water for 20 minutes to an hour to unclog pores. I use a snorkel tube to breath. It is definitely working and should work for everyone. A pore is clogged by oil that becomes hard and infection starts. The warm/hot soak is warming up the oil and removing my blackheads completely. Wet oil is all over my face and now I need to figure
  12. I wonder what would happen if I chop up lemons and put it into the bath water? Maybe put apple cider vinegar into the water?? The warm water must be loosing the hardened oil that is clogging the pore, because my face is flooded with wet oil now and the amount of clogged pores are a lot less. There are no more blackheads on my nose at all and they were covered with them. I'll keep doing this until the pores aren't clogged with hard oil anymore and let you know how it going, but if you know if I
  13. Aveeno, oil free, is what my dermatologist told me to use.
