  1. BTW, I didn't get lazy until about a month into accutane. Before that I was very good w/ about washing 2x a day, so I don't think makeup was a factor in my acne.
  2. I started taking ortho tri cyclin when I was 16 for acne, I'm 20 now. Never saw any improvement, so I switched to the ring last July, since it's easier to remember.
  3. I'm super lazy, and my skin is super dry. I end up wearing makeup to bed, washing my face only once a day. I don't think even that is making my skin any worse.
  4. I'm on the same dosage but only about 1 1/2 months in. My lips are extremely dry and I'm still getting lots of new spots, especially around period time. I noticed that about a week after my dosage went up, my nose started to get oily again, and more little blackheads are coming out. I was pretty sure they were all gone during the first month, but I guess my surprises are deeper than I thought. So pretty much, no signs of clearing just yet.
  5. Personally I love the way my mouth looks lately. Looks nice and full like I'm using some kind of plumper. Basically I load on the vaseline pretty thick and it keeps them from drying out.
  6. Today was my 7th day and everything was pretty much the same. No dry skin, eyes, hair or lips. And then this afternoon I sneezed out little drops of blood. I'm glad it wasn't a full on nosebleed! What can I do to prevent them? And has anyone had one in public?
  7. So every Jan. I get really bad seasonal allergies. Non-stop running nose, itchy watery eyes, sneezing, among other things. So I'm wondering, can I still take OTC allergy meds while on accutane? And if accutane is supposed to dry you out to the point of nosebleeds and stuff, will this actually relieve some of my allergy symptoms? I don't start accutane until the end of the week. I'd love to hear from accutane users who suffer from allergies.
  8. I find that cleansers like Cetaphil aren't strong enough to remove all my makeup. I don't know if it's because I prefer long wear foundations or if my makeup is so saturated w/ oil at the end of that day that the cleanser can't break it down. Is this a problem for anyone else?
