Hey all- I am in my 5th week of Accutane and was managing my lips just fine until 3 days ago, when I started developing these tiny blister things on my lips. Now, the pain is just incredible. I can't smile, can hardly eat or drink, can't kiss my fiance.. it even hurts to put on lip gloss. I've tried Blistex silk 'n shine, various body shop balms, Aquaphor, even neosporin (with pain relief). Anyone have any suggestions? They don't even look that awful, but the constant pain is unbearable.

I'm scared. PLEASE respond if you can.

I popped my first accutane pill this morning and am terrified about hair loss. I did read a bunch of journals and one of the women recommended Nioxin for female hair loss -- she said it worked great. You may want to check it out: http://www.nioxin.com/ -

I have mild to moderate acne, like you... sometimes, I'll have 5 cysts, and other times, my face is almost completely clear. I am getting married in May and after a major holiday/wedding stress breakout, I went to a new derm, who prescribed me Accutane. I was a little suspicious because I've been on everything -- like you -- but no derms have ever recommended Accutane to me before... but I guess it makes sense if nothing else works!? I also wonder if the recommendation had to do with my age
