  1. I have a mild case of back acne and recently started to use BP to treat it. So far I am happy with the results. Each day it seems like I can see by back getting clearer. I have had a "back piece" tattoo in mind for a few months now. My questions.... How is BP treated skin going to respond to a tattoo? Would I have to have been off of the BP treatment for a time prior to getting the tattoo? What if getting off of the BP causes breakouts? What is the best way to go about clearing back acne an
  2. Question..... Does acne cause scarring or is it popping the acne that causes scarring??
  3. Retin A?? Get a nice wetsuit and head for the beach??
  4. The more you let things bother you and worry you the more problems you will have.
  5. Do you have any reason NOT to visit her doctor??
  6. "every time. every single time i walk past a mirror i go "WHO THE FU...oh", "WHAT THE...oh", "JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH!". this is going to take some getting used to. this is alarming on so many levels. " Why??
  7. Why all the quoting? A bit redundant don't ya think???
  8. Uhhh, how about DUAC, sal. acid, or 10% BP maybe...
  9. I've noticed the same thing. When I was at the beach for a few weeks and spent a few hours each day in the salt water my acne was gone. Not sure why or how, but it works.
  10. Hard to say if it's the 2.5 or your bathing habits (or lack of) or something else. But, it's obvious that this might be a good time to look into a regimen...
  11. How bout' a picture? Might help to determine if anyone else has experienced the same thing...
  12. It looks like you are making things more complicated than they are. Just look into Dan Kern's regimen and forget all the other herbal BS.
  13. If you are going to use Cetaphil moisturizer make darn sure that the medications are completely dry and absorbed before applying. When I applied the Cetaphil moisturizer after medicating and not waiting long enough my face turned BEET RED and felt like it was sunburned.
  14. I have never used the medication in question, but lets say that you do cover your face with it daily and it does dry your face up. Within a few weeks your skin ought to adjust to it and then any dryness should subside. I know that this is the case with benzoyl peroxide and I am guessing...key word...guessing that this medication would be no different. Either way, you might as well give it a try. Trial and error seems to be the best way to find the best solution to any problem...
  15. I don't use any. I tend to think that less is best. All I use is 10% BP and a gentle clenser. No red spots, zits...
  16. What do you mean by "work for scarring"?? Prevent scarring?? Get rid of scarring??
  17. I use an electric shaver. The kind with a triangular face with 3 round blades that spin. I am not sure what you call this, hence the description. Close shave, no irritation, no shaving cream to deal with, takes less that 3 minutes for a complete shave....
  18. Isn't the active ingredient (Prithione Zinc) the same in all of them?? If so, it really should not matter...
  19. Have you noticed and bad side effects of the accutane??
  20. Isn't this....uhh....normal for the first 3-4 weeks?? DUAC is 5% BP and 1% something else that starts with a "c" (forgot the name). When I started using BP it was a 5% solution and thats how I was...for the first few weeks. Since then I switched to 10% and increased the quantity (I did try a few other items till I found what worked for me) and as of now everything is fine as fiddlesticks.
  21. I used the stuff for a little while. I did not spot treat though...I covered my whole face with it (see the topic on 10% that I started). I have since then come accross another brand of 10% BP that is cheaper, comes in larger quantity and seems a bit more user friendly to me. By that I mean it is easier to apply, a bit thinner, does not leave me looking like I painted my face white etc. Had I not found the other stuff I described (Kaiser brand) I would still be using the Clearasil.
