    Tumeric Mask & Internal Consumption

Hey Deja, thanks for the reply! I use the powdered form of turmeric from a produce store in my area. No added fillers at all. i've been using the capsules consistently and never had a break out like this before putting the turmeric and organic extra virgin coconut oil as a topical treatment on my whole face. I'm thinking it's purging everything out of my system? Yes, I do take other supplements. I'm currently taking garlic, as well as a few others for bronchitis that my naturopath gav
  2. Hey guys! I have a question regarding the side effects/reactions of turmeric. I read a whole lot about it doing wonders for skin and acne, so I started making turmeric masks w/extra virgin coconut oil to leave on overnight, as well as have been consuming around 1500mg a day w/black pepper capsules that I put together myself, about five days ago. I should mention, I currently have mild to moderate acne. My question is, has anyone experienced an initial breakout while using this stuff? A w

    Regimen

I just bought the AHA as well, add it in by replacing it at night as your moisturizer instead of using the regular moisturizer. In the mornings, do the regimen, and at night, do the face wash-BP-and AHA. I hope it works for ya girlie! )

can green tea cause a breakout?

Try drinking caffeine-free green tea. The cause of the pimples might be that either the green tea is pushing out toxins, or the caffeine does not sit well with you. Try it for a week and see what happens!

    Diet doesn't cause acne, correct?

I really dig the passage in your signature section! It's awesome and it made me smile! :D

Hello, help newbie with sev. acne

Hey there! I know everyone is so adament on taking accutane around here, (and I have been on it once) but trust me, it worked for a bit, and then all of my acne came back after about a bit over a year. Now, that doesn't happen for everyone, but every person that I know that has taken Accutane, has had their acne come back. So, logically thinking, your acne will most likely come back. I'm not trying to discourage you, but for awhile I wanted to go back on Accutane and then I realized that it'
  7. I think your diet and excersize plan is a wonderful idea! My mom has high blood pressure, colitis, migraines, digestion problems all around...plus much much more. She started a vegan diet and after one month, most of her problems cleared up almost completely. Sometimes she has relapses, but for the most part, a raw vegan, gluten-dairy-wheat/grain free diet is the way to go. I have many symptoms of what my mom is going through and I also have acne on top of it. I've started this diet about 2

    HOLISTIC HELP!

So let me explain what's going on first. I've taken Accutane once for a 4 1/2 month term and it worked like a charm. My skin was clear and free of any blemishes (aside from very minor scarring) for 1 1/2 years. In the last few months my acne has come back full force. It's been a few months since that 1 1/2 year run that my skin was clear. I'm trying the holistic route because I really just don't want to go on Accutane again. Here's what I do: Vitamins: -ACV (2 tablespoons morning and evening)

    antibiotics and fungus

I'm not sure if taking a probiotic while taking anti-biotics will work. I'm sure it will be of little effectiveness, and I'd rather have little than none. So I would say, take a probiotic. To find out if you've got an excess flow of fungus in your system, do the spit test. I'm not sure if you know about this, but get a room temperature cup of water in a clear drinking glass. Brush your teeth before bed and set the cup next to you for the morning. When you get up in the morning, DO NOT BR

    M's Accutane Log

Wow! I haven't posted on this website in months! Anyways, I'm pretty much done with my accutane journey. I still have a month's worth of it left, but I'm not sure if I'm going to take it. To make a really long story short: I was kicked out of Ipledge for one month because I could not make it to my derm appt. a few months ago. Hence, the one month of accutane left over. I have not taken it, though. All in all, I've taken 4 full months of accutane. Let's just say my skin is clear, I'm a h
  13. How is everything?

    1. I go through Kaiser Permanente Insurance, it's $15 for the dermatologist appointment, $10 for the bloodwork and $10 for the Sotret.
    2. Try using a natural alternative. Walk into a health food store, such as Whole Foods or Trader Joe's (if you know of these places, they're grocery stores here in cali, but natural food is sold) anyways, go into one of those and get a hair gel that's all natural. Or go into a vitamin store, they usually have hair products. Ask someone in there about it. It's much better than using all of that other crap on your scalp.
