  1. Let me preface this post by saying that I love what Dan has done with the site and appreciate all the advice and the great products he puts out. I'm not really complaining, I'm just offering up my opinion as sort of a suggestion. I've been buying Dan's products now for probably 3 years or so and it's true that his prices are great and shipping is reasonable as well. However, out of all the online places that I buy products from, this is the only site that I've never seen offer some sort of coup
  2. Has anyone tried this out yet? I like using the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion at night or when my skin is really dry, but for everyday use when I go out, it's a little bit too thick for my liking and leaves my face a bit greasy/shiny. I was wondering if anyone tried the Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15. I'm hoping that it's not as thick and is less greasy looking so I can use it during the day and then stick with the lotion at night. Any help would be great. http://www.cetaphil.com/Products/Daily
  3. I've been on the regimen for a long time but have never really thought about this until now. I just bought some jojoba oil and was going to use that pre-shave and it got me thinking. I just recently started shaving after showering to see if that would help with irritation I get from shaving and it has. I shower at night, so this is what I have been doing (I don't shave everyday, so this is only how my shower goes on nights when I shave): 1. Take shower - Don't use cleanser in shower like I usu
  4. Shia Labeouf used to have/has acne as well I think. In the movie Disturbia you could see a bunch of zits on his face that were reduced by makeup. Also, here's a picture of him in public. It's either acne or a really damn bad case of razor burn. http://justjared.buzznet.com/gallery/photo...-station-02.jpg
  5. I know that Dan says to use his cleanser, but I just don't like the idea of using a cleanser as a shaving cream. I have a pretty heavy growth and I just don't think the cleanser would suit well as a shaving cream. I have my acne under control fairly decently, but now I just get razor burn on the underside of my face. My neck, etc. I know how to shave and I don't go against the grain anymore these days because I'd rather have no irritation than a close shave. Anyway, what are some shaving creams

    Lactic Acid

Interesting, might give that a try. I'm basically pretty content with the way my skin is right now. I still get new zits a few times a week, but not that many. Basically I'm looking for something to help out with the red marks a little quicker and something that might help smooth out little bumps I have and maybe help out my minor scarring. Also, how does one apply these peels? I'm just looking at some of the sites mentioned and I notice that the amount that you buy is very small. 1/2 oz - 1 o
  7. Thankfully none of my friends were assholes and none of the people I talked to were either back when my acne was really bad. Nobody has really said anything mean to me ever and I'm thankful for that. There's only been a few times when someone has mentioned my skin. One time my nose must have looked really oily and someone said "You need to put some powder or something on your nose, it's really shiny" and another time I must have been red from creams and someone asked me if I got too much sun the
  8. I thought the same way as the original poster, but I don't think I was as bad. In high school my acne was terrible and I managed to date a cute girl for awhile. Since then, for some reason I haven't had much success. I'm 21 and I commute to college, so I don't spend much time on campus, so the chance of meeting someone is limited. I just realized that's what's prevented me from dating, not my skin. I still get pimples often and I have a few bumps and scars I don't like, but guess what, I someho
  9. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a Lactic Acid Peel that I can use at home? I'm pretty pleased with my acne these days. I still get some zits, but it's a lot more controlled than it used to be. My red marks tend to linger for a long time though and I wouldn't mind seeing if a Lactic Acid peel would help them and help tighten up my pores and maybe smooth my skin out a bit. I'm not sure what % to get and all that sort of stuff, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. I've voicing my opinion and my displeasure with the prices of shipping. I have the right to do that. I am in fact actually thinking of going to something store-bought because of the shipping prices. I just figured that I would post this and at least give Dan an opportunity to respond and try to do things to minimize shipping prices further.
  11. yeah, you already said it's 'exactly the same'. so why does it bother you so much? find out how much the shipping is, add it to the cost of the product and figure out whether it's worth it to you. that's what i do. it's not as if they make money out of shipping unlike some other online companies. the amount they actually pay for shipping tally with what i paid them, factoring in packaging costs. i stay in asia and it takes 1 week for the products to reach me with the cheapest shipping method.
  12. Just a note, I meant two 16 oz bottles, but I was tired and I think everyone understood. I'd honestly rather pay more for the product and less for shipping, it'd at least make me feel better. It's just absurd that I'm paying $15 for shipping, which is almost the same amount of the product itself. That and the fact that it takes so long to get the product after paying that price is pretty annoying. I'm still not sure if I understand how this method is any cheaper than other places jacking up th
  13. I hate to even bring it up because I really do like Dan's products and they do work for me, but what is up with the absolutely ridiculous shipping prices? I've ordered golf bags, golf clubs, computers and they've all been a heck of a lot cheaper than two 9oz bottles of cleanser. I don't buy into the "jacked up prices on the product but lower shipping" thing either, especially not when purchasing products on a place like eBay and getting great shipping prices. I'm sorry, but it's just really fr
  14. Sounds weird, but I've been on the DKR since mid-late January and I've noticed that when I am really persistent (sometimes I skip a treatment) my face gets tan. It really doesn't get that red anymore, it just gets darker, like I was out in the sun and got a tan. I use Dan's Cleanser and Gel in the morning followed by Complex 15 moisturizer. At night, I shower, use Dan's Cleanser in the shower and apply the BP. I don't really use that much BP either, definately not a full fingers worth. I don't u
  15. Of course, if shaving daily doesn't bother you, continue. I am not saying you should grow your beard out for a week and then shave, but I recommend you do it every other day if your growth doesn't come in very fast. If I were to grow a beard, I'd have a great looking one, it comes in nice and thick, however, like I said, it takes awhile. When I tried shaving everyday, it would feel like I wasn't shaving any hair, but rather just running the blades over my skin. If that's the case, shave every
