  1. I tried shaving Waxing Nair And yet I keep getting 5 or six of these that don't go away for weeks. They are infected so I have to keep putting neosporin on them. I never used to get them ever so I don't know why I am now? I just hope I don't scar. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of these things for good or what is causing them? Lasers are far to expensive for me tbh.
  2. My face is finally clear, and I have been using Simple Skin 24 hour Cream but they are discontinuing it. So Sadly I need a new product that wont case me break outs.
  3. I have finally cleared my skin with Neutrogena glycolic wash and Birth Control. I still use step 3 of the original Proactiv system. I would hate to buy the whole pack of products just to use one, do any of you know some good alternatives?
  4. How to set up your daily log: Date (MM-DD-YYYY) Days Since I last picked: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ All this area should be the body of the log. Some things I suggest including are, the urges you had in that day, how do you feel about your skin _ at that moment, how do I want to feel about it in a week. How close are you to your next event, how you hope your face will look then. Asking your future self not to pick because of these reasons...... Face mapping, draw your face and the zits or places y
  5. I call this the prep period, you need to design a plan in order to succeed, here is a list of things you need to do before January 1st. Have a skin care routine and stick to it: Knowing you have a reliable routine will make you less aware of changes in your skin. Throw away any magnifying mirrors / black head loops: Avoid these things like the plague, they are only aiding in you tearing up your skin. You can pluck your eyebrows in a regular mirror or ask someone else to do it for y
  6. I have had this problem for as long as I could remember. When I was in sixth grade my mother would give me one of those small magnifying mirrors and to use in order to pluck my eyebrows. I would sit for hours just picking and squeezing junk out of my pores. I am 17 now I and I want more than anything to stop this really really bad habit. I encourage anyone with the same problem to join me. Make 2017 the year you finally can be free from this! I will be doing daily logs and sharing tips that h
  7. so here is what helps me Face wash: Cleanser: with benzoyl peroxide in it...that kills bacteria. Mine has exfoliating beads in it but it may be too harsh on your skin. If you want something natural...witch hazel is really good because it also kills some acne bacteria. Toner: with syalic acid in it...clears away dead skin from pores. Musitisor: I use 2: I use 100% pure aloe vera from fruit of the earth (it helps fadeaway the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or the dark spots c
  8. Ok so I switched from the birth control lo loestrin fe to ortho tri cyclen, I have been on ortho for 11 days. Initially I saw a decrease in the size and number of closed comedones on my forehead, I also did not get a large inital breakout like I expected to. About three days ago I noticed the inflammation of the CCs coming back and some of them have turned in to large pimples. Where I had 0 pimples last week now I have 6. Is this breakout still me adjusting to the medicine? Should I stick wi
  9. Day 1. 9:00 Washed with Proactive added pure aloe gel or scabs along with Simple 24 hr day/night cream. Skin on forehead so oily by 1:00 Thinking about somehow adding more BP to the proactive cream. I like the way the system works and it suppresses around 80% of it but it doesn't stop my face from getting oily and it doesn't keep the CC away. Food: Breakfast Vegan pancakes (banana, Egg, vanilla &honey), Lunch: Chicken, gluten free corn chips. Drank a LOT of water though with Crystal l
  10. Background I have been stuggling with acne for the past few months. I had started on proactive when I was in 6th grade for moderate acne. it cleared me up completely until about a year ago then it stopped working. I went odd of it my face freaked out (the worst acne I ever had) I went back on, it has been mostly clear besides A LOT of Closed Condones & Mild Scarring & Hyperpigmentation Starting to also get large cystic Acne from Birth Control- I am going to change it soon. Goa
  11. I am on lo loestrin fe and I am planning on switching for it is causing me to have very deep cystic acne. Anyone recommend other birth controls that help get RID of acne? Or that have worked for you?
  12. I am so upset, I haven't picked my face in weeks and it was to the point where I didn't even feel the need to wear makeup when going out. Two days ago however I picked again now I have scabs all over my forehead. I have a wedding to go to in two weeks, do you think they will be healed by then? Any suggestions on what I can do to make them heal faster ?
  13. my first birth control I was put on was lo loestrin fe and it's what I am on now. Did it break anyone else out in both cystic and closed comedome acne?
  14. I've been using Priactiv for 7 years and it has kept me flawless but recently It's seemed to be losing its effectiveness. Is it worth trying Priactiv+?
  15. I just started on 15% azelaic acid gel. It seemed to work to suppress them the first few days but now they have come back. Should I wait it out for a few more weeks or try something else? I just dont know how to get rid of them. (I'm already on proactive and that keeps me about 80% clear)
