  1. I'll try to answer them! Question no.1 Can I just put 1 layer of benzoyl peroxide after the said 8 week period because I have little budget? You could try this, but if you start breaking out or lose progress then you'll likely have to go back to your original plan Question no.2 After the regimen, I'm left with big pores around my nose, cheeks and forehead, what shall I do? Most enlarged pores are inherited, they don't stretch much on their own. However if they're clogged and you find a ma
  2. Wouldn't recommend that.. Differin is for use on a consistent base to slowly thin out your skin, not at all a good spot treatment because of this. If you're clear, you don't want to go dabbling into other things anyway, if you found what work, stick with it! Red marks will clear with time, it might take a long time but it'll be worth the wait
  3. Can you use a moisturizer during the day? Or even if you have time at night if you wait 30+ minutes after applying Differin you can apply moisturizer. I guess a better question would be, what are you using during the day?
  4. If you can't sleep on your back, invest in a few more pillow cases and change them more often. If you really think about all the stuff your hair touches during the day and then you're rubbing your face in it all night.. Maybe I'm just a germaphobe
  5. Both times I've been on Differin it took 5-6months to clear me. Try to stick it out as long as you can, but unfortunately just because it works for me, doesn't mean it'll always work for the next person. Sad truth, but it is possible to get clear on Differin! Best of luck to you all!
  6. Glad you're keeping a log! I wish I had done this the first time I took Ortho so I surely wouldn't forget how great it really was! I was on it for 2 years and the combo of Ortho+Differn completely cleared my moderately severe acne in 6 months. I dropped the Differn since I was clear, broke out some, so I switched to Yasmin this past fall hoping for a cure-all, and it was just awful and I wish I hadn't ever quit the Ortho! I went back on the combo of Ortho + Differn and nearly clear again 5 mont
  7. Noo, neither my dermatologist or my general doctor made me draw blood for BCP perscriptions. However, if you're sexually active you'll have to go through some tests, or if you're going on accutane then you definitely need some pregnancy tests. If you're not going on accutane or aren't sexually active then you don't need any testing to get a prescription for birth control )
  8. Is it the one that comes in a lip stick looking tube? I use that one and it is pretty darn amazing, I use it alone most of the time because it does such a great job.
  9. I'm 16 and my derm said if I ever wanted to give it a try I could just call it in. However the side effects scare me! I'm already taking enough meds, but it's good to know I have the option
  10. I bought both because the lotion was just sticky and didn't absorb. I love the cream though, I've been using it for a few months and I don't think it breaks me out. The cream absorbs quick and takes care of the flakes, although on days where my skin isn't extremely dry it does get a little oily. The lotion is a good hand lotion, but there are cheaper alternatives for your hands
  11. Last week of active pills for the second month - So far? Not impressed. End of the first month - clearin' up. Start the actives again - boom goes the acne Side effects so far - Major hairloss (we're talkin' plugging the shower drain 4+ times in a 10 minute shower), 2nd week of active pills I get frequent vertigo, maybe worsened depression - hard to tell, more jawline acne. I was also walking to school one morning and my arm went numb? Don't think I'm going in for a third month, I know they
  12. Shoot, I'm nearing the end of my second month and the hair loss isn't getting any better! I think it's also making my depression worse, hard to tell if you go onto a pill with a condition. Anyone think I should wait out till the end of the third month or should I quit BCPs all togethor? (Oh, and my acne is only slightly better)
  13. The face wash with BP is probably what's doing it. The BP is only on your face long enough to dry it out, nothing else. Use a cleanser without SA or BP.
  14. I use Differin at night and if I don't use my face scrub in the morning then my skin just sloughs off when I touch it in the shower it's gross
