  1. I was on mino for about 7 months, and it worked a little bit. I went a few months with virtually no new acne, but then my skin started flaring up again, but not as bad as before. My derm decided to put me on duricef, which is another antibiotic. Its from a different family than mino and the other oral antibiotics used for acne. I did a search and it doesn't seem like many people have been prescribed it. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it, and if so, how effective was it?
  2. ya im currently thinking about buying the XCD Improver but i would like to hear if anyone has had any sucess with it. i need something to cover up fading redmarks w/o irritating my skin. i searched the entire internet looking for a review and was unable to find anything.
  3. has anyone ever tried to use the neutrogena or clean and clear concealing stick? i am just looking for something to cover up fading redmarks, but i don't want it to look like im wearing makeup.
  4. thanks for your help...............i am a guy and i dont really want to use foundation (nor do i even know what it is) so if i let the concealing green dry up and then put another concealer over it that matches my skin tone will that work? also, is there any other products that i can use specifically for small redmarks that won't make it look like im wearing makeup?
  5. I went out and bought Neutrogena's oil-free concealer in the correcting green color. I plan to use it mostly for redmarks that I have had for several months now. I tried using it, but the green was still visible on my face. Does it just absorb into the skin after a while, or am I going to need something else to put over it. If I need something else, can someone please recommend an over the counter product that I can use to put over it? Should I put another concealer on top? The store I go to sel
  6. Right now I'm also using clydimycin and a sodium phosphate cream. I think that these are used primarily to kill acne rather than heal scars. Right now I get maybe 2 new pimpes each week, which isnt too bad. How long does it take you red marks to heal while on mino?
  7. I've never had a major problem with red marks and acne scars before I started using mino 2 months ago. Each pimple would form, then be gone in a week or two. Now, it is taking forever for acne to heal. I have marks that have been on my face for almost a month. I could see how maybe the mino would slow the healing, but this is pretty bad. I haven't picked anything for several weeks now. If I do, it will take forever the mark to go away. So should I be doing something else besides the treatments l
  8. Right now im not on BP or accutance. I'm on mino, clindymacin gel, and a sodium sulfacimide cream. I think its because my skin gets irritated a lot around the corner of my lips (not on the upper or lower part of the lips). I wonder if there is a way to prevent this.
  9. I've been getting a lot of acne around the corners of my lips for many months now. I probably get more acne there than on any other part of my face. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
  10. Also, do you think using neosporin would be a good idea? I dont want to clog my pores, but it could prevent infection.
  11. So recently I've been taking a sewing needle, and sterilizing it in a flame. Then I puncture the white stuff just enough so that it starts to come out. I then use a tissue to get the rest of it out. The only problem is that often times a little blood comes out. This can infect the sore and scar. Does anyone know of a more effective method or something else that I can do w/o irritating my skin?
  12. Before I started taking mino a little over 2 months ago, my acne would rarley ever scar. Now I have several scars on my forhead that have been thier for several weeks. My derm told me that acne will take longer to heal while on mino, but this is pretty servere. Has anyone else ever experienced this and is thier anything I can do to speed up the healing (besides the lemon and vinegar method)?
  13. I've been on mino for about 2 and a half weeks now. Just in the past few days, ive had a bad headache and ive been feeling really week. I don't think it is associated w/ the mino, but has anyone else ever had this happen? Also, ive noticed that my scars are taking forever to heal, and they used to go away in about a week. Does anyone know if mino is supposed to cause this?
  14. hey ive also been on mino for about 2 weeks now..... sorry if i sound stupid, but what do you mean when you say you have broken out in "hives"?
