  1. Only moisturiser for acne prone combination skin

I have been looking for a moisturiser for my cheeks because that's where I have a lot of dryness and acne scars. I have always hated putting things on my face, but this cream is so good. Even though it's quite thick it absorbs very easily and as a night cream I adore it.

    Don't like it

    Don't like it

It hurts to take off, it removed about ten superficial blackheads and i don't think it is worth it.

    Brilliant

    Brilliant

My skin changes with the seasons. In summer it's fine, not too dry and not too oily, in autumn/spring the texture is off and is oily in my t-zone and dry on my cheeks (that's where I used to have cysts), in winter my skin is oily af. Coconut oil tricks my skin into believing that it doesn't need to produce oil, thus my skin is moisturized but not oily. It's great for oil clensing, but it only works for a few people, if it makes you breakout don't use it. I have also used coconut oil after sunburn and after dermarolling (because the pain is very similar) and it really sooths the skin and leaves it soft and smooth.

    Didn't do much for me

    Didn't do much for me

I took it for almost 2 months, my breakouts stayed the same and the texture of my skin worsend, although the redness went down a little. It's one of those products that you have to try, because it can either be really good or not do anything at all. (I have cystic acne on both cheeks and blackheads in my t-zone)
  5. Helps discolouration and scarring

I bought this with a discount code (jordan) and the first day my skin got very irritated because i tried all the brush heads on my skin. I don't like the silicone brush because it makes my face red, but i love the other two. The first week I used it my skin got very dry, however this didn't bother me because it was only dry where i had acne (on my cheeks). I have a lot of scarring from cystic acne and this has just seemed to make my skin look better. Sometimes some of my scars bleed a little while washing my face, which I kind of think is a good thing because it means they can heal better. I suggest to use it with a foaming face wash or even just soap and not with an exfoliator with microbeads or other particles just because the brush exfoliates by itself. I spent €56 and I think it's definately worth it.

    This didn't do anything

    This didn't do anything

I think I took it for about 3 months and for the first couple of week my redness reduced. The rest of the time my skin was back to before. I guess my body just got used to the antibiotics very quickly, but I can honestly say this didn't do anything to improve my cystic acne.
  7. This is what i have been looking for

I have nothing bad to say about this. '¢evens out skin tone '¢reduces the size of pores '¢helps with sun burn '¢GREAT make-up primer '¢helps dry out pustules '¢tightens the skin

    This stuff

    This stuff

I have just started oil cleansing in the morning and using Garnier 3-1 in the evening. I am using oral contraceptives which I'm pretty sure are working, but this is helping with reducing the size of my pores and improves texture and is great before applying make-up and makes the surface of your skin a lot more even (to be honest I have about 5 bumps on my skin now, but at the beginning I could see improvements). It also is a great exfoliant and contains SA and BP. I would recommend this for oily skin, but also for those who suffer from a frequent cell turnover (flaky skin).

    Cystic acne on my cheeks

Thanks I will look up zinc supplements. :)
  10. Hi, I'm 17 and have been suffering from mild acne since i was 13, but about a year ago it cleared up everywhere apart from my cheeks, where it seems to be really bad. I have cysts/pustules and they hurt a lot.. I take multi-vitamins, gingko biloba and drink lots of water, i eat healthy, and I exercise a little, I don't smoke, and have cut back on alcohol quite a lot since Christmas. I have been on antibiotics (tetralysal?), they helped reduce redness for a week, then i guess my body got used to them (I also have to change the type of vitamins i take regularly, because they stop having an effect). I sometimes have oily skin, and i sometimes have really dry and flakey skin (I use coconut oil to add moisture and tea tree oil to clear the pores). I cleanse my face when I need to: mainly morning, sometimes after school/workout, and in the shower at night. And exfoliate once or twice a week. I sleep well. I am farely sure it's nothing to do with my diet, as it's very well balanced, so I'm guessing it's hormornal, but then again I am rarely stressed. I have been researching a lot, and i'm not getting anywhere. Can anyone give me any tips or suggestions?
