    2 weeks update

Hi people: I´m here to tell you how my second week on Accutane was. I have noticed a weird pain in my ribs, and I have read online that quite a few others have suffered from this side effect while on Accutane. I´ve also noticed dryness on my nose, near my mouth and on my lips mainly. As for the acne, there is nothing new to report, it still looks the same. I had two nose bleeds this week, at least I was home when they ocurred, but you know you´re taking a harsh drug when this happens haha.

    First few days

I´m on my fourth day on Accutane today, and I can already feel some of the side effects. So far it seems I´ve gotten more clogged pores (maybe they are coming to the surface, hopefully). I am already getting flaky patches on my face, mainly on my nose. My lips feel a little puffy and sensitive. I´ll be updating in a few days.
  3. I´m going on Accutane, the azelaic acid was useless.
  4. Thank you very much for your information! I will keep updating any changes I notice in this forum.
  5. Hi everyone: I´ve had hundreds of clogged pores throughout my whole face for the last year or so. My doctor told me to use azelaic acid (20%) to get rid of this problem. I have used it for the last three weeks and have not seen a real change. Has anyone here had a good experience with this acid on clogged pores? Does it really help to get rid of these bumps or does it just prevent them? Thank you very much.
  6. Hi everyone: I just wanted to know if someone has experience treating clogged pores and comedonal acne with azelaic acid. My derm prescribed me azelaic acid in the night and then Cetaphil cream to avoid the side effects. Any information is really appreciated!
  7. Hi! Thank you very much for your answer. I´ve been reading about this condition and it is pretty common to see it in people with dry, eccema prone skin. I suffer from both of these, and wanted to know if you have dry skin or suffer from dermatitis. I´ve been trying a couple of moisturizers but my skin still feels dry and itchy sometimes. I haven´t been able to find an answer to this stressful condition!
  8. Hi, I just wanted to know how long did it take for you to see improvements after you started showering for less time and colder water. And also, did a stringy substance come out of your facial keratosis pilaris bumps when you squeeze them? I haven´t been able to understand how to stop this annoying thing.
  9. Thank you very much for your answer! I forgot to mention that I have a very sensitive skin, so i can´t actually use chemicals like BP or SA, so it is kind of complicated. Thank you very much nonetheless!
  10. Hello everyone: I got recently diagnosed with keratosis pilaris. It is in my arms and my whole back, and apparently it is also on my face. The bumps that look like comedonal acne, those hard plugs with a hard substance, might be diagnosed as acne but are sometimes facial keratosis pilaris. I wanted to know if anyone else has this condition and what have you done to get it under control, because it actually has no cure. I forgot to mention that I have a dry and very sensitive skin, so I ca
  11. Almost clear after three months, that is fast! You´re so beatiful, hope you get completely clear!
  12. Hi, thanks a lot for your answer. I just wanted to know what else have you done to your skin appart from face masks to get clear skin.
  13. Hi everyone: I was wondering if any of you have got rid of their acne "magically". With this I am talking about getting rid of acne by doing nothing, just by probably outgrowing this common teenager problem. If so, at what age did you start noticing positive changes? I´ve had acne since I was 15, now I am 21, and just thought that by this moment in my life my hormones would be under control, as well as my acne. Also, is there any way to know if my acne is hormonal? Thanks.
  14. Hey man, I have a similar story. The only thing is I cannot take accutane due to my dry, eczema-prone skin and kidney problems. Just wanted to know if you found anything that helps you with your hard sebum plugs.
