  1. I was just wondering if anyone had used the Simple for Men range? I know the simple brand gets good reviews around here and my bottle of Dan's cleanser ran out and I'm looking for something I can pick up in boots. The ingredients are: Citric Acid, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Methylparaben, Copper PCA, Benzoph
  2. i used it the other week as i was goin to a party and had a nice spot come up that morning, found it actually worked quite well and definately reduced redness. havnt used it since though and one possible drawback is that you have to apply it 4 times throughout the day which means touching your face, so you have to make sure your hands are real clean.
  3. yea thats the bit i use, i just use it like an electric razor and run it over my face goin against the grain, then do the regimin, i may give it a go again in the next few days, just go slower or something see if that helps.
  4. ah real maverick was hopin you would pass by, you seem to be the expert with these things. its one of these i use http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4422220.htm the redness went away after a bit but just felt like i was maybe doing something wrong.
  5. hey people ive seen alot of talk about the old beard trimmers so i went out and purchased one, first time i used it though it made my skin really red , is this ment to happen or am i using it wrong? was wondering if someone could maybe post how they use their, e.g. wash before or after, technique etc cheers
  6. hey peeps just wanted to update you with something i've been trying. Its called Boots Skin Clear Deep Wash, i can honestly say its the best thing i've tried, no redness, no dryness and best of all no new spots . I just saw the girl put it on the shelf and thought since act was so good it was worth a shot. Comes in a purple bottle, couldnt find it on their website but i found a picture, sorry its not great quality.
  7. hey guys I recently took the plunge and bought a beard trimmer, I just have a few questions i'd like to ask before i use it. 1) do you use shaving gel/foam with the trimmer? 2) what sort of way do you shave with it? with the grain or against it? thanks.
  8. so boots act users, our beloved product is being stopped .......nightmare. I was wondering if anyone had found a good alternative? i have so far used clean and clear and also a king of shaves(thought id give it a try as i use their shaving gel) face wash but both unfortunately have been no good. was sort of hoping that between us we could maybe find a decent face wash, so any suggestions stick them in here. Cheers.
  9. hey people been on the regimin for about 4 months now, started with dans cleanser but had to come off it as i had a reaction to it so i started to use boots act soap bar and the results have been really good but it dries my skin out like crazy!!! so was wondering if any of you kind people could recommend a new face wash probably for use with sensitive skin? thanks
  10. i guess its really different for each person, i tried an electric shaver but really didnt like it, left my skin very red and irrated. I also had problems with a normal razor i used to use a mach 3 and even when i was careful the razors always seemed to catch my spots therefore making them spread but then i switched to the sensor excel and it was alot kinder on the skin. after i shave i just pat my skin dry wait a bit then continue with the regimin.
  11. im also glad im not the only one whos experienced this, Eucerin caused me to break out really bad, worst i have been in ages. i now use nivea for men sensitive and it seems to work pretty well. I've tried the boots one before but didnt really work for me but good luck.
