  1. After being on the regimen for 3+ years (in which i became about 75-85% acne free), I have recently started to apply 10% BP all over my face at night before I go to bed, which makes me about 90-95% acne free at any given time. Is this bad? Can anyone shed light on this idea that BP causes free radicals or something like that? Thanks in advance.

  4. So do you guys use the Aqua Glycolic cleanser with the regimen, and simply replace Dan's cleanser with the Aqua Glycolic? Or do you use the Glycolic in addition to Dan's cleanser? Sorry I'm asking stupid questions, I'm just confused.
  5. Hello, A 2-3 year veteran of acne.org's regimen. Recently (the past 6-7 months) I have found a cure- use insane amounts of BP. I load my face up in the morning, and usually spend 10+ minutes rubbing it in. At night, I use 10% BP and make a mask on my face that hardens. I then put another layer of BP on over the 10% mask and go to sleep. It's quite amazing, but every now and then, I still will get a pimple or two. The pimples die quickly, but the red marks feel like they're permenantly sear
  6. Been on the regimen for about 2 1/2 years. So far, the only thing that works is more bp and more bp and more bp. My current regimen now includes putting on an extreme amount of BP in the morning. At night, I apply a lot of 10% BP and let it dry on my face. Then I use a lot of dan's BP. Then I apply one more layer of 10% and go to sleep. My skin isn't really irritated because I suppose my face has gotten used to BP over the years. But I'm wondering, is it unhealthy/bad to use that much BP?
  7. i've been on a regimen of dans bp, followed by mass amounts of 10%. It does not absorb well and leaves my face white and dry, but I only use 10% at night when I'm about to go to bed. I've had great results so far.
  8. My skin does get more flaky than usual... however I am just using more moisturizer to deal with it. When I use layers of 10%, I don't rub it in all the way, and usually fall asleep while it absorbs into my skin.
  9. So I've found recently that the only solution seems to be to put mass amounts of BP on my skin. My current regimen is to dot my face all over with BP (a lot of bp) and rub it in. After that dries, at night I rub in an additional layer of 10% BP. I've found that this is the only way to keep me from breaking out, and I haven't broken out in a long time now. However, I am using MASS amounts of bp. For example, I'm almost a week and a half into my tube and its almost done... might not even make it
  10. When I see that new pimple just starting to form, and when I'm about to go to bed and you see that little red spot that you know is gonna be a pimple in the morning..... There's nothing to really stop it, is there? I've tried stopping it with tea tree. I've tried stopping those up-and-comers by icing it and loading mass amounts of BP on it. But it doesn't seem to stop the formation of the actual pimple. Is there nothing we can do other than just watching it grow, form, peak, and eventually
  11. Word. My derm recommended Cerave to me and I've been loving it. I suggested it in the "Suggest a moisturizer" thread but no one noticed. Oh well. Cerave rocks.
  12. update: AHHH.. it's been a whole week and it still looks exactly the same. I've been putting bp and tea tree on every night for a week and it hasn't done jack shit. I'm so frustrated. Does anyone know how long these things last/ what else I should do?
  13. i dont see how using bp and tea tree is bad, my skin can handle both im pretty sure.
  14. yeah the best thing to do is just leave it alone to be honest. Theres not much you can do to a papule
  15. So a few days ago on my nose I got a hard red bump that hurts when i press down on it, unlike a pimple. that's a papule right? Anyways, for the past 2 days I've been applying bp and tea tree oil whenever i have the chance, 3-4 times a day usually. Does anyone who has dealt with these bumps before know what to do? I feel clueless... Help a brother out yo. Edit: Today is the start of the 3rd week it's been here, and still no letup. Still red, hard, and no head. First week I put BP and tea
  16. alright... so I went to my dermatalogist and asked him to recommend me a moisturizer since I haven't really found an adequete replacement for the old Eucerin. He suggested a new product called Cerave. It's the truth. I love it. Might even be better than Eucerin. I got mine at Walgreen's, so it's probably available everywhere.
  17. I've always wondered this too... sometimes when i feel like im gonna break out i put a shitload of bp on my face .... is that bad?
  18. So i've noticed that there's a lot of different methods that people use their jojoba oil for... some use it before bp gel after cleansing, some do it after bp for moisturizing.. some use 2-3 drops, some coat their face... what's your tip?
  19. Title says it all.... when you get up in the morning and see that up and coming pimple that popped up over night and is starting to take form... what's your move? Let's all make suggestions and hopefully a few people will get some good tips on killing that bugger right when he starts to pop out....
  20. I use the regimen like everyone else, morning bp and moisturizer and night (just bp). Sometimes when i come home from classes my skin just feels bleh i like to wash some hot water over my face, and add a little more moisturizer once my face dries (because then it gets flaky again.) Is that wrong? Should i not wash my face at all during the day?
  21. do any of you guys ever put a dab of bp gel on the actual pimple and not let it rub in, but just leave it on top of the pimple so it absorbs slowly into the pimple?
  22. my face is relatively acne free, however, some parts of my face are redder than others, or have blotches of uneven skin tone. what's your guy's best recommendation for a product that will even out my complexion without interfering with the regimen?
