  1. Look up femmenessence macaharmony. I watched a YouTube video where a girl said it changed her life. It's an all natural supplement you can get from CVS. I've been taking 2 pills a day along with Spironolactone for about 2 months now and my acne has calmed down so much!
  2. When I get really bad cystic acne around my temples, this happens to me. The cyst will last much longer on that area than anywhere else on my face. Then after about 2 weeks the cyst would go away but a little bump would stay there. Sometimes they take more than a month to go away, but eventually they will. Just don't touch it or mess with it and it should go away in time!
  3. First of all, don't let your acne run your life. You have to remember that it won't last forever! And honestly, the people you're in school with that make fun of you for your skin, are going to have far more problems once they graduate. If they're so insecure about themselves that they have to make fun of another person, trust me, their issues are far worse than yours. I've been struggling with acne on and off for about 4 years now, but mine didn't start till after I graduated from high school.
  4. I've heard it can take up to 6 months to work, which sucks, but so many of the reviews for Sprio rave about it. Pretty much every review I read, said it worked for them. That's the only thing that keeps me from wanting to try something else. I plan on staying on this for about a year and if I don't see a big change, I'll try something else. We've just gotta be consistent and hopeful!
  5. @leelowe1 thank you! I've probably read every article on the internet about Sprio lol. Once my gyno put me on it, I was pretty obsessed with reading everything I could about it. It's so hard to be patient on it though! Lol a lot of the reviews said they were 90% clear at or right after 3 months, so I'm definitely getting frustrated waiting for that to happen to me. I've been on 100mg a day since the day I started, I'm wondering if they'll up my dose next time I go. We'll see! But it's nice to ta
  6. So I made an appointment with a dermatologist today! A friend recommended Dermatology Associated of Oak Ridge so I called today and have a consultation on the 30th. Even though my gyno prescribed Spiro to me, I think a professional will be able to look at my skin and give me some more advise. I'm super excited and hoping that I like the PA I'm seeing. Fingers crossed!
  7. It seems like my second month on Sprio was when the left side of my face started getting really bad! Maybe it's just a side effect of the medicine. I'm 3 1/2 months in and it's calmed down a little in the past 2 weeks but every few days I'll get a cystic pimple and then it will go away and then a new one will come up. I also noticed that I have tiny little bumps all over my skin, which I didn't used to have. They're not white or black heads and they're not red, they're just textured little bumps
  8. Hello everyone! I'm on day 98 of Spiro, today makes exactly 14 weeks. I got super discouraged on Saturday because my skin looked terrible. My left cheek was so red and irritated that it was all I thought about all day. So I've been trying to drink lots and lots of water and be extra gentle when I wash my face. Yesterday morning I used my Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and last night I used the Dove Sensitive Bar Soap and used my Clarisonic. After that, I used the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask that I ju
  9. @FavreErvaf thank you! Hopefully it will just keep getting better! @leelowe1 I feel your pain! I'm the most impatient person ever and knowing Spiro takes months to start working has been so hard for me. I've tried not to concentrate on how long I've been taking it and just focus on trying to be positive. It goes by a lot faster that way! Lol I also try to take mine at the same time every single day, I read that can help the effectiveness! Just don't get discouraged and keep at it!
  10. I work night shift so I woke up about 3 pm today. I rolled out of bed and went to the bathroom and to my surprise, there were no new pimples on my face. Which is SO rare! The left side of my cheek, that was covered completely in acne for the last 3 weeks, has healed up so much. November 10th will be three full months that I've been on Spiro. I'm trying not to be too hopeful, because I'm afraid my skin is just calming down and going to freak out again in a week or so. But I cannot help how excite
  11. So here's my story. I'm 22 years old and have been battling acne for about 4 years now. I had perfect skin up until my junior year of high school. It was nothing serious, but enough for me to tell my mom I wanted to get on birth control to see if it would help clear it up. (That was honestly just an excuse to get on BC then because I was in my first serious relationship.) So my gyno prescribed me the pill (I can't remember the name) and within a month or two I was a nightmare! I was emotional 24
