  1. 1 Year wait folks.........An email response from GSK.... I can confirm that the Panoxyl range has been discontinued, with the exception of Panoxyl 5% Cream due to return in March 2013 and Panoxyl Acnegel 2.5% and 5% due to return in September 2013. I am afraid that the reasons for discontinuing the product are commercial and that this decision came following a review of the Stiefel Brand acquired by GlaxoSmithKline. One of the main reasons for discontinuing Benzoyl Peroxide products is

  4. yep - we're all in the same boat here!! ( I think if you are as disappointed about the loss of Panoxyl as me - it's worth sending a quick email to 'Andrew Witty' (no - that's really his name!) at GSK. and let them know that it's wrong to ditch the product. cus[email protected] I'm going back to Dan's BP. Worked fantastic for me for a number of years and the last batch for me was just crap (check over my older posts - I was convinced there was a change to the formula as it sudden
  5. can't believe after several years there is STILL no European/UK supplier distributing it!
  6. have been off post again for a while, and interesting to see long term users are still concerned and getting strange results. For me, I have now officially ditched Dan's BP I'm sorry to say. For one, it was always difficult to get and expensive to import to the UK, but even now if it appeared on the shelf in the local chemist I wouldn't buy it. I am still using BP though - I have switched to Panoxyl 2.5%BP Aquagel and it is fantastic. I have gone from lumpy/bumpy skin to smooth and clear
  7. Hi Guys, been a while since I originally posted on this and just thought I'd share what I've had to do to keep up the regime. As you know since I started this post I've really not been happy with the BP. I made my case strongly, Dan and team insisted that it hadn't changed,...and I still don't believe that. I had bought 4 large 16oz bottles of the BP, and the fact I live in UK meant it was not feasible for me to return it and could not sell it on either. So, I was then stuck with these 'we
  8. Did anyone having trouble with the ''bad batch'' have tried to shake the bottle to make sure that all the ingredients and the BP are well mixed together. Maybe the BP % is not divide/split equally in all the bottle or tube, which can explain the lack of efficacy that some of you are experiencing. Does it make sense??? Please respond... What's sure is that the batch in question is consistent throughout the bottle - meaning that it doesn't have to be shaken, so don't worry about that. B
  9. Thanks for your response to this Dan. Unfortunately though I can't accept that the product hasn't changed. When you use something daily for near on 5 years and it changes - you know it! And it took me seconds to notice it when first used (feel/smell/texture) But as I said before, It didn't bother me - what bothered me was getting the same results as before - which It hasn't. I have been through your links and I do appreciate that some people could miss something, or have added somethin
  10. It seems to me that there are more than the 'one or two' complaints about it. So far I've just posted on this forum regarding it, and have not yet made my complaint formal - but I think it time that this is taken seriously. Dan HAD a great product, and something has gone wrong with one or maybe two most recent batches. This is not an attack on him or his business - this is merely a collective voice of opinion from posters on these threads who by the looks of it are mostly long term users.
  11. This pacifying nonsence from the Reps is beginning to irritate me. :naughty:
  12. hey zhai, really good post, and well put across. As I was saying on another thread, the long term users of Dan's BP know the difference. It's not like we're out to start a campaign to bring the product down, but if it raises enough questions to have someone look into what has changed about it, and it is sorted out in the background for future batches, then I'm sure we'll all continue with the product for the forseeable future.
  13. when you say 'other bottle', do you mean an older batch or a new batch?
  14. Now that is unusual! Have you been going out your way to stain clothes with it! :D Will perhaps need to test that out with an old t-shirt to see if the case.
  15. to be honest TMB the Panoxyl is quite harsh - don't know if too strong, but it leaves your skin feeling very tight, and over-drying. It looks ok and perhaps if used with moisturiser it might be ok - but for evening application I'm using a mix of dan's BP and the panoxyl. Daytime I'll stick to dan's. Dan's stuff is a lot lighter feeling and even when lots applied is ok - it's just lost it's effectiveness though - which is a major problem. In my opinion of course
