I know that it's hard for you to not wear makeup because of your acne, but if you want your skin to clear up faster, I think you should stop wearing makeup first. You may not look as good for a couple of months, but what you can do is just try to not think about it because people don't care as much about your pimples as you do. When your skin is clear, you'll shock them all.
Here are a few tips instead of wearing makeup
1) You can wear a bold lipstick color to distract people from concentrating on your acne
2) Use a tinted sunblock to minimize the redness. It may not cover as much but it can slightly help you feel better about yourself.
3) Wear mascara because mascara is awesome
4) Remember: Other people don't care as much as you care.
4 months ago I would wear makeup almost everyday of the week because I tried to cover up a few acne marks I had and it just made my acne worse. I got 1-3 breakouts a week, and I would still continue to wear it and just made everything worse. I minimized my usage of makeup until I completely stopped using it. I stopped getting acne as of the moment, and I haven't gotten a single pimple in 2 weeks.
YOU CAN DO IT. I BELIEVE IN YOU!
So I started breaking out a lot a few months ago only on my cheeks. I have been using Epiduo for 9 weeks (2 months and 1 week) AND HOLY CRAP. I used to get 1-4 pimples a week and just be really depressed about it. I stopped breaking out on week 8 and I haven't gotten a pimple since week 7. It just makes me feel soooo... AMAZED. I'm so used to waking up in the morning and seeing a new pimple on my face and just feeling sad. And now it hasn't happened in weeks and I've just been feeling really good about myself.
No, my skin is not clear yet. It's full of red/pink marks on my cheeks (see my Epiduo album in gallery) but I don't care. My self esteem level went up.
-Cetaphil gentle cleanser for all skin types
-Nature Republic Bee Venom Emulsion
I don't moisturize at night cause I'm scared that my moisturizer might stop the Epiduo from working since it contains Salicylic acid. Not sure though. The face masks help with the moisture.
I use a peeling gel at least 1-2 times a week for exfoliation and I also use face masks 1-2 times a week.
Does anyone know if Epiduo will also help with fading the red marks from pimples?
I need to make them fade faster so I can have clear skin already.

Thanks for the advice. I changed my routine and only use the moisturizer during the day, and Epiduo at night. I haven't broken out/gotten a pimple or got irritated/dry skin since I've been doing that.

I've been using Epiduo for almost 9 weeks and I haven't broken out in more than a week. I'm hoping it will stay like this!! It's cool how we started at the same time hehe

Do you think it's okay to still use the moisturizer during the day when I don't put on Epiduo?

So I've been using Epiduo for 7 weeks in total. In those 7 weeks, I haven't moisturized the first 5 weeks. I started using Nature Republic's Bee Venom Emulsion/Moisturizer which is supposed to help acne prone skin for 2 weeks already. These are the moisturizer's main ingredients:
Bee venom complex 73%, Salicylic Acid, Calamine powder, Alps glacier (MD201), Mistletoe extract, Camellia extract
My skin has cleared probably 30% since I started using Epiduo. I still get breakouts every week, maybe 1-3 small whiteheads and sometimes I get pimples under the skin. My question is that, is it okay to use Epiduo and Salicylic acid together? I'm scared that it might cancel out the effect of the Epiduo. So far, my skin has improved because it stopped peeling since I started applying moisturizer, but I still break out from time to time.

I'm 17 and I recently started breaking out since October 2014, and I didn't take it seriously because I would never really get pimples before. I started breaking out badly in February and I started to get a lot of red marks that wouldn't fade away and ever since March 2015, I would get at least 1-3 pimples a week. I didn't visit a dermatologist until June and she prescribed me with doxycycline and epiduo. I only took doxycycline for about a month and I stopped. But I've been using the epiduo every night for around 1 month and 2 weeks. What I noticed is that ever since I started using it, I would never get big pimples anymore. They would only be small white heads. I would sometimes get pimples that are under my skin but they never grew big. I did have an initial breakout and I think it's still going on until now.
Another observation I have is that there are weeks when I have a good skin week and the next week it becomes bad again. It's like a cycle or something. Anyway, at the moment I still feel kinda sad about my acne, even though I would say its more on the mild-moderate side. I know that Epiduo takes a while for it to work, but I'm getting a bit impatient. Hopefully by the 3 month mark I'll stop breaking out already.
I only break out on my cheek area. Never on my forehead or chin. I have around 4 pimples on my face right now and two of them are small white heads and the other are the ones under my skin. My face mostly looks really bad because of the red marks left that won't disappear... So all of the marks are on my cheeks which creates an illusion of me having a lot of pimples.
