  1. Make sure that they are blackheads and not sebaceous filaments, which appear as brown/dark pores, but are literally just sebum, If you squeeze these out, they will reappear within a few hours, as they're just oil. Blackheads, are bigger and are black. To remove these, just steam your face or have a warm shower, to allow the pores to expand, and then pinch the pore slightly, with a little bit of pressure the blackhead should come out of the pore.
  2. Hello, my name's Ioan, and I'm 16 years old. I've been struggling with my skin for the past 2-3 years. It all started with a few breakouts here and there, but nothing really serious. But then they started to escalate and covered all of my forehead. My forehead was always red after this, so I visited my GP, and was prescribed Zineryt for acne. Which then cleared everything. But skip 2-3 years down the line, and many other medication being used (for acne) like Isotretonoin gel, doxycycline, duac..
  3. Hey, I was wondering how long did some people have to wait for a referral appointment on the NHS to see a dermatologist? I had a letter back in june, and it says it could be up to 6 months.
  4. Id say that is rosacea. I've been dealing with the same thing at the moment. And it's killing my self esteem. I'd get some medication for it.
  5. I've been on doxy for 6 months! I should really come off it, but I'm hoping a miracle will happen. It hasn't don't hardly anything for me.
  6. Do you have an initial breakout with benzoyl peroxide? I've been using it for about 3 and a half weeks and I'm stil breaking out. It's the benzac 2.5 AC gel, but I've been using that for a week and before that I was using another brand. My skin is dry and still kinda red. Not much itching anymore though.
  7. Is it normal for your skin to turn a little yellow while using benzoyl peroxide??
  8. I've been using benzoyl peroxide for a couple of weeks. when I first started my skin burnt, like a sunburn. But I had no spots and my skin felt so soft and there were no bumps. Now, my skin is kind of sensitive, red and flaky, My pores look huge and I've got a few breakouts. What can I do to subside this? It looks disgusting,
  9. Hello, does anyone on this forum suffer with acne dysmorphia? If you don't know what acne dysmorphia is, this website has described it as ' Acne dysmorphia, put simply, is the obsessive thought that the skin is irregular or disgusting. In most cases the person suffering with acne dysmorphia does have acne, but even when the acne is very mild or even non-apparent, the person will believe that they have "horrible skin" or "terrible acne." A sufferer is usually not far from a mirror, and may obse
  10. Hey, I've been on benzoyl before but last time I had really bad side effects,(redness, dryness, peeling, the sore skin etc..). my acne did clear up but it has come back. ive finished 5 months on isotrex (isotretinoin gel), but all my acne didn't clear, so I'm now on doxycycline 100mg pills, once a day. And I'm waiting for my prescription to arrive for some 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, I have sensitive skin and I don't want to have a bad experience again, what can I do to avoid these side effects? The
  11. I'm so happy while looking at these pictures. I highly recommend using Isotrex or any other isotretinoin treatment for acne. The initial breakout is hell, but it only lasts for about 2-4 weeks. This is before and after. 18th August - 27 October! (I know I look 5 lol, but I'm 15)
  12. I've been on isotrex (isotretinoin gel) for about 2 months now, and my skin is looking much better. But I have huge pores on the side of my nose and they look huge and I want to minimise them. Can anyone help me with this?
