  1. Good luck! I hope you find the clarity you have been searching for.
  2. Like I said earlier, the root cause of acne is highly variable among acne sufferers. If you have changed your diet and aren't seeing the results you want, then it is very likely that something else is causing your acne. However, even if having a clean diet doesn't completely cure your acne, it's not like it's going to make it worse. In fact, it may even help clear you up a little. I'm not saying this to attack you or belittle your opinions. We have all been frustrated and upset because of our
  3. This is spot on with my approach to health in general. I think avoiding processed foods is paramount to skin clarity and overall well-being.
  4. Alright ladies, here is the link to my review. Comment and let me know your thoughts.
  5. Hello ladies, So I came across Lily Lolo and Ella Rose make-up via the suggestions of other acne.org members. I ordered some samples and thought I would write a comparative review to help out anyone else considering these brands. Before I begin, I figured it would be good to tell you all a little about my skin. I am 23 y.o. female with fair, oily, and sensitive skin. The cause of my acne is mostly hormonal, which means that my break-outs usually occur around my chin and jaw. I also get break
  6. So it's been another week and my skin is even more clear! I'm not going to lie, sometimes I cheat and eat a little gluten, but I have been very strict with the no dairy! I think that's helping my skin the most. I have also increased my veggie intake and am drinking more herbal tea. If you interested in learning more about diet and acne check out Essena O'neil on youtube. She had cystic acne and cured it with a vegan diet. I was skeptical at first but it makes sense. Cystic acne is usually cau
  7. Thanks and I completely agree with you. Diet changes don't work for everyone. I'm glad that you found what works for you though!

  9. Alright guys I got my samples! I plan on posting a comparative review tomorrow with before and after photos for both products so stay tuned! I'm thinking I will start a new topic but I will post the link here.
  10. Low maintenance and it works

I bought these for my boyfriend due to to the low maintenance nature of the product. His acne wasn't that bad. Just minor break outs near on the side of his face. Since using the wipes, his skin has improved significantly. When he does get a break out, it's a lot less severe. I would recommend this product to anyone with light-moderate acne. If your acne is more severe, however, you might need something more medicated.
  11. Effective spot treatment at the right price

This stuff is nearly identical to Kate Somerville's Eradikate spot treatment, but is much less expensive. I was using the Somerville version for years before recently discovering this. So far, it has been just as effective. It dries up pimples without over irritating. I can go to sleep and know that when I wake up my skin will look better than when I went to bed. I highly recommend it as an emergency spot treatment.
  12. Honestly, keeping my skin moisturized worked better than the topical ointment that my doctor prescribed me. Keeping your skin hydrated will not only get rid of those bumps (if it is in fact keratosis pilaris), but it will prevent them from coming back. You should also be hydrating from the inside out. That means drinking more water, especially if you live in a hot, dry place like myself. I personally haven't heard about using fish oil for this, but it's worth a try. Fish oil is great for your
  13. So I have been trying the whole no gluten and dairy thing to see if it helps with the clarity of my skin. Much to my excitement, it seems to be working! I tried to keep all other variables constant (same facial cleansing routine, same oral meds, same water intake, same exercise schedule, ect.) My old pimples are drying up and no new ones are forming. It's only been a week, but it's a good start. Contrary to popular opinion, I refuse to believe that diet and acne unrelated. Every system in the
  14. This looks like keratosis pilaris, which can occur due to dry skin. I used to get rashes like this on the back of my upper arms. Your PCP/derm can prescribe a topical ointment, but what worked best for me was using moisturizer every night after showering. Make sure you use something designed for sensitive skin so that you don't irritate your skin further.
  15. Wow this stuff looks good too! I ordered some samples from them as well. Maybe I will do a comparison post after they arrive with pictures? I think that might be helpful to some people.
