  1. I've been trying to be more diligent about working out and eating right and just overall being healthier, but I feel like every time I work out and break a sweat, I wake up with acne around my hairline and some on my back. IS there anything I can do to help prevent this?!
  2. I mean, you can't take it as gospel or fact, but my mom has always told me that dairy is a contributing factor to skin issues. I just googled it to help be a little more scientific with that statement, I suppose you could say, and I found TONS of articles written about the dairy issue. I'm not sure which sources you trust, so you could look and see. I've avoided dairy for a long while, not because I'm intolerant, but because I have noticed the same issue with my skin when I have too much of it.
  3. I wish I had an answer for you, but it looks interesting. I would love to know if this works for you! Its something that I would be interested in doing myself.
  4. I've been using mine for a while now. I started using it much for similar reasons that you have stated: it was recommended to me. It is a little scary at first. Some people have hurt themselves, likely from using it wrong. But I have seen some nice results. Nothing too dramatic, but my scars are fading, and I have smoother skin. I've heard it can take a few months to see huge changes. I would say go ahead and try it! I've loved it so far. Just make sure to read/watch the instructions because the
  5. I am so glad to hear it! And your english is fine! Keep it up! I know how hard it can be, but its important to feel comfortable in your own skin and you will be better off for it, I'm sure! If you don't like retin a you should look in to getting a PMD. It might help rejuvenate your skin. It definitely helped me when I was going through the same thing that you are. I look forward to your updates!
  6. Are you still doing updates? I would love to see how you are doing. It can be a really hard thing to go without makeup when you are struggling with breakouts, but it can really help! Keep up the good work! How is the retin a working?
  7. I really appreciate your log! It has been good for me to see the day by day process. Keep it up! It seems like this method might be working.
  8. I have heard the same thing, but I've heard the opposite of it, as well. I don't have any personal experience with it helping acne, but maybe someone else does. Have you read anything about it? Or talked to your doctor?
  9. I'm definitely not an expert, but I have heard that steaming isn't necessarily very good. I think it has to do with the hot moist air causing the skin to swell in response to the excess heat and water content, and if its exposed too long, it could clog your pores from the surface debris on your skin getting trapped. I know they tend to use steam in facials, but I'm not sure it is entirely good for acne.
  10. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I've been trying to find a way to change my diet to improve all aspects of my life and I think this is going to help A LOT! Thank you for passing on this knowledge, I really appreciate it and I hope you are feeling more and more confident in yourself.
  11.   nope. Their logic behind these things working is that these things contain "acids" which they believe breakdown skin the way we would assume it does, but it doesn't. All it does is irritate your skin and make it way more sensitive. Thanks so much. Good to know.
  12. I know someone earlier said that lemon doesn't do much, but I found this article with "natural" remedies. Has anybody tried them and had success? They seem kind of silly, but I wonder if they actually work? http://naturalbeautytips.co/how-to-get-rid-of-hyperpigmentation-effectively/
  13. I would agree with those who have talked about the JoJoba Oil. It works great on my skin! I hope you find something!
  14. I just got my PMD a little while ago, and I've liked it so far. It takes time to see any dramatic results, so I can't say that it has worked miracles on my face in just a few weeks, but I've seen lots of success stories, and I think it could help. So far for me, it has reduced the number of breakouts I've had. You'll just have to try whatever works for you, but I would say it is worth it. This is one of the videos that really helped me decide to take the plunge and try it out.
  15. I've never heard of a water only routine, but I am intrigued by your experience. I'm throwing my hat in the mix so I can hear what others have to say about this. The only thing I can think of would be to add a toner, but you said you didn't like how long it took to cleanse and moisturize, so I'm really not sure. I hope someone is more helpful than I am! I did, however, just find this! http://www.acne.org/not-washing-or-water-only-reviews-1202/
