  1. Hi NdnRomeo, I'm now a full week in, taking 1.5g daily. I'm already seeing real progress, but I do not know if it is because of the omega-3 fish oil, because I also added an AHA moisterizer to my BP regimen at the same time. Either way, at least one of these new things is working, and I don't plan on stopping either. Should I stick with 1.5g a day for now, or should I be increasing my daily dosage? I'm a big guy -nearly 200 pounds.
  2. Your skin is likely just "hardening" to the increased frequence of BP use. Stick with it. Moisturiser is your friend!
  3. I have been on the DKR for 9 months now, and still struggle with periodic breakouts. This happened to me 2 months ago, and i STILL have dark spots from old pimples that simply will not go away. I know that the DKR makes this dark-spot problem worse - but if I cut off DKR, I worry my face will explode. Is it a bad idea to use a mild tanning creme to darken my face (it is summer after all), which might help reduce the prominence of these red spots? Somenthing like this: http://www.epinions.com/
  4. Thanks man. Let's hope I have even part of the success that many here have found.
  5. Can somebody clarify the amounts I should be starting with? The bottle of Omega 3 Fish Oil I bought today has 1000mg capsules, which contain 300mg EPA and 200 mg DHA. The bottle suggests taking 1-3 capsules per day. By my calculations though, 3 capsules a day is only 1.5g of (EPA+DHA). Is this enough (at least to start?)
  6. From http://www.bion-research.com/valuable_acne_tips.htm Benzoyl Peroxide Cautions: Benzoyl peroxide (BP) generates free radicals in the skin. Its effect is similar to unprotected sun exposure. The redness of the skin (erythema) caused by the sun and BP is the result of free radicals (oxidative stress) upon the skin. Repeated sun exposure and BP use generates free radicals that damage the skin's structure and cellular DNA, resulting in premature aging of the skin. The extent of the damage
  7. I've been on Dan's regimen for 9 months now, with moderate results. However, I find that whenever I exercise, and perspire heavily, my acne gets worse in the days that follow. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid this? I'm not going to quit exercising, obviously. thanks!
  8. Guys - I've had this problem too - the solution is to apply a very mild self-tanner to your skin once in a while. I use the neutrogena one. It brings back some of the colour that is lost from all the BP.
  9. Does this happen to anyone else out there? It's not the BP that causes the burning feeling - it's only when I apply cetaphil moisterizer 10-15 minutes later! Advice?
  10. When I started CSR I had the same problem - lots of oil by midday or when I wake up in the morning. Don't worry - stick with it - and your skin will slowly adjust to the BP and start producing less oil. I'm several weeks in and it's a non-issue now for me.
  11. Jess, you seem a little obsessed with porn for some reason. Are you speaking from experience here? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  12. David, if it makes you feel better, I broke out all through week 2 and week 3 - but have seen tremendous results since then. Stick with it man - you'll be happy you did.
  13. Hi Dan, I just wanted to let you know that after 2.5 weeks of following your regimen exactly, my skin is showing remarkable results. At first my skin turned red and broke out a little bit, and I considered quitting it, but I stuck with it and am really happy I did. To anyone else out there who is questioning the CSR - trust me - just stick with it and give it time to work, because it really does. That being said, I really really hope that this isn't just a temporary clearing, and that my skin
  14. ok, i'll try it - thanks - but what do you actually shave with?
