  1. i have had hormonal, cystic acne for years! Recently I have gotten my hormones tested and the results here in Canada were: high prolactin, low estrogen, lowish progesterone, low FSH, low LH, high cortisol and high DHEA with low free testosterone.. can anybody help me with this??? I am going to see a naturopathic doctor soon but unfortunately I don't have any insurance so it's very expensive.. just want to interpret this results if anyone has had anything fairly similar or any suggestions on what
  2. I've always had a skin care routine and always will have a skin care routine, acne or not. that's not what I'm worried about! I just don't want to have to rely on one product for the rest of my life on whether its clearing my acne or not. It's basically a bandaid.
  3. yeah I understand that, wanting to travel but without the hassle of skin care. Mine is basic though. Morning, wash, moisturiser then sunscreen. Night, wash, moisturiser then differin. Thats it. But there is the waiting 15-20 between moisturiser and differin but thats all. Accutane is an option ( a really risky one) but you will also need to still wash and definitely moisturise, and you may need to moisturise even more than twice a day depending on how dry you get while on accutane. So i reckon i
  4. yes my skin reacted badly to epiduo too but now my derm has me on differin and i can handle it well! My skin is super sensitive but this works. Just make sure to use a good moisturiser 15-20 mins before. Its defiantly worth asking a derm or your dr for a script. Its expensive but its worth it. Differin is just epiduo without the benzoyl peroxide. Hmm I will definitely look into it! Thanks for the tip My biggest issue is that I love to travel and I really want to go travelling for months at a
  5. I've tried epiduo before, my skin doesn't usually react well to benzoyl peroxide Never tried Differin though!
  6. I have had acne for over 10 years.. It may not be as severe as some people but it is constant and very very difficult to get rid of. I have tried every treatment you can think of including tons and tons of skin care products, oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics, multiple birth control (im on yaz right now my skin cleared for about a month then went back to how it was) Dans regimen, BP, african black soap, tons of vitamins and herbs including: zinc, vitamin a, vitamin d, saw palmetto, fish oil
  7. Slowly working

Thought I'd post my experience with yaz! I started yaz 3 months ago.. I'll be starting my 4th pack in about a week! When I started yaz i was having very mild breakouts on my back as well as a new inflamed pimple on my face about every 4 days or so and theyd take a couple days to go away with the odd cystic pimple every couple months or so! I should also mention that about 95% of my breakouts are around my mouth and chin area! Month 1: my pimples here were about the same with no change really!
  8. Lately I've been getting them a lot, not just at those times those are just when the big cysts come in.. but from July-September when I was travelling my skin was sooo clear I had one tiny pimple and I wasn't doing anything differently than I am now, if anything I'm taking care of myself more now.
  9. Hello! So for the last few months I have been wondering if maybe I have PCOS. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences to help me! BACKGROUND: So I'm 21 and have had acne for about close to 10 years although in the beginning it was just from being young and typical teenage acne.. I got rid of that stubborn acne by going on the regimen, although I was left over with cystic acne still on my chin, getting about one every week or two nothing too dramatic I know but it still ta
  10. Hello! I'm just finishing my second pack of YAZ and I've been breaking out consistently on only my left cheek ever since I started.. I normally have an entire clear face except for big honkin hormonal cysts on my chin.. Now since starting yaz I haven't gotten any on my chin not one except I've gotten about 5 or 6 big cysts on one spot of my left cheek..which I never break out on ughhh
  11. Ugh it just sucks so much because it feels like the regimen only ever worked for like 3 months of the year I have been using it :( I follow everything in such a strict diet, and i exercise and do yoga to manage stress as well as drink tons of water and use AHA.. I think the world just wants me to be stuck with terrible skin..
  12. Hi, Basically I've been on Dan's regimen since June of last year.. When I went on this regimen I didn't have severe acne, more moderate with prone to scaring. The first few months I didn't see a large difference but once I hit August, I went almost 2 months without seeing one single pimple. After that I noticed a couple small pimples, one or two around the time of my period etc. But the last I'd say 4 months on the regimen I have been breaking out.. about a new pimple every couple days. I have
  13. Control Panel, I've tried just about every cleanser out there on the market, cetaphil, cerave, DKR cleasner, and many more and they all make me breakout! The only thing that doesnt make me breakout that I cleanse my face with is honey and ACV mix. And I've had acne for over ten years and make sure that I never touch my face, and I drink close to 6 L of water a day so I know neither of those are my issues, and okay, thanks for the reply I will keep with it and stick it out until I see some resu
  14. Hi there! I'm new to Acne.org and have just started the acne.org regimen! I am on week 5 now and have seen no results I wash my face twice a day with honey and apple cider vinegar (no face washes work for me, whichever face wash you have to recomend, i've probably tried it -.-) and then use BP and recently, the only plus is that at the 4 week mark I brought in the AHA+ and have now conquored the dry, flakiness problem I was having, so my skin does look more hydrated and healthy from that!
