  1. My Pale Skin!!! I can't remember the vlogger's name, but that's the vlog. Wayne Goss's older videos are pretty good, too. Definitely checkout Kevyn Aucoin's books.
  2. Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Foaming Cleanser is amazing. It is truly gentle (and fragrance free and soap free) but still effectively cleanses. Never leaves any makeup behind. Never makes my skin feel dry. It's not the most economical cleanser or the easiest to find in stores, but it is, by far, the best I've ever used.
  3. You're 14. 14 year olds don't have relationships. They make out with people they think are cute. They "break up" a week later. It's practice. Don't take it too seriously.
  4. It would make sense to me that smoking would make acne worse, how could it not clog your pores? BUT smoking tends to dry out your skin, which removes one factor that can contribute to acne. And despite nicotine being a stimulant, it can calm you down. Shit, that's WHY people smoke. And stress may contribute to acne, possibly because it increases sebum production. Here's the thing, why does it only work for girls? That study didn't have any conclusive results, it may have been a fluke. I just tho
  5. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.f...l=pubmed_docsum Background Previous studies on the association between smoking and acne have reported conflicting results. Objective To investigate the association between smoking and acne among school-going adolescents. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted. Smoking was defined as smoking > 3 cigarettes daily for 6 months or more. We defined acne as having > 20 retentional and/or inflammatory facial acne lesions. Multivariate (proporti
  6. DDF, Peter Thomas Roth, DollFace Beauty Cocktails (if you can find it), Philosophy, Kiehl's, BeneFit and Bliss are my favorites.
  7. I don't remember a time I wasn't obsessed with how I look. I can vaguely remember being probably no older than 4 or 5 and playing with my mom's makeup, not the way other little girls would, but actually trying to figure out how an adult would wear makeup so I could be prettier. I remember being 7 years old trying to blow my hair out straight (which was always a disaster) and reading about DIY facials in Cosmo. Maybe it's because I'm an only child and there were never kids my age around so all I
  8. BUT is it even worth it if you take less than 50mg? I'm at 45 (which i think i already stated). Even with other people saying things to me about my skin, I still have to wonder if it's really making a difference.
  9. GAH! I wish someone had told me that before I actually bought it. Fine. It's going in the reject bin (and yes, I have an actual reject bin under my sink). Are there any drugstore (or department store) BHA products you think would be worth trying? I just hate ordering off the internet.
  10. well, i'm using a really weak BHA (0.05%). but my day cream has (i think) 8% glycolic acid. and i use bp twice a day. i'm concerned that if i switch to 2% sa that would be too much for my skin.
  11. (btw i just saw a scanner darkly and fucking loved it.) MAC products are highly pigmented and generally long wearing. They have a massive variety of colors and textures in their foundations, shadows, lipsticks etc. MAC rocks because you can basicly have anything you want. And they actually aren't that expensive compared to most mid-range to high-end product lines.
  12. Does MAC Powder Blush make anyone breakout? MAC foundations make me (and a lot of others) breakout, so I'm wary of the blush. But I LOVE this color (Dame).
  13. I want to start using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream at night because it has retinol. Is that going to help with redmarks?
  14. What are the chances that retinol could help clear up blackheads?
  15. I've been considering using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream at night and Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion SPF 15 in the morning. NHSAWC has retinol and I'm hoping, because it allegedly increases cell turn over, it will help get rid of blackheads and redmarks (which are now my main concern). But I would still continue to use BP twice a day. Will this work or just irriate my skin?
  16. i'm clearly an alcoholic because i appear to be the only one who's like "pfft, that's nothing". i'm suddenly very concerned for my liver.
  17. If I were in your shoes, I'd say "Women are fucking crazy. I don't have time for that shit." And I'd mean it. My family is the same way. If I'm single, they want to know why (and I say "Because men are dirty." or "Johnny Depp's got a girlfriend." or "I'm focusing on my career right now. I don't want to end up having to rely on some man, like you, mom."). If I'm in a relationship, they want to know why I'm not married (and I say "Community property laws and the rise in divorce rate." or "Marriage
  18. Most people don't have the balls to fuck with me because I'm known to get a little mean when provoked. You'll have to provide examples of what people have said then I can tell you what I'd say back.
