You can follow a diet of hypoallergenic foods for a month or so, then methodically add things back in and watch for a reaction. you shouldn't need to follow a low gi diet. What you need to do is avoid any high GL meals, drinks and snacks. And that affects everything to do with health. Replace processed foods with nutrient dense foods to supply the nutrients your body needs to function properly to regulate hormones, inflammatory response, etc. acne isn't actually hormonal. Hormones merely exacerb

Vitamin B5 Hairloss- Cured (Pictures)
cervantes86 replied to itsoveryes's topic in Diet & holistic health
so basically another solution that seemed so promising is not really a solution....i mean i would sacrifice my hair to get rid of acne, but there are other problems that might happen if I take 5 mg of B5 with l cysteine for a very long time right? -
Less Judgement, Please...

Sigh, reading this kinda of discourages me. I am one of the ones that have tried a diet, lost weight, and watch the acne not budge with diet. I don't know what I was doing wrong. No GI, no dairy. It seems really hard to find something that you are intolerant. Also, there are numerous other factors according to this board and the people in here, like parasites, candida, sleep stress....like how am I supposed to avoid that in my field? Maybe I am stuck with medicine that can harm my body.... -
I Need Help On Food Intolerance
cervantes86 replied to cervantes86's topic in Diet & holistic health
Is there a link you have to try this method? I am confounded on how to do this. Do you eat one type of food a day for a week or two, and see if you still break out? Like just eat chicken for a week, and if you stop breaking out, then you know that is not the culprit, and you add things slowly and see what causes your breakouts? And is this safe, at least in the short term while your doing this, and doesn't give you no nutrient deficiencies? There are links in the food intolerance section of the -

Thanks for the information. I guess maybe I should also try wholefood meats, since maybe the food I was eating was grain fed, and could have made my diet inefficienct? -

So I did the whole low GI thing, no dairy for 4 months, and saw no improvement whatsoever. And I know was doing a low GI diet, because I cut all sugars, grains, starch, and I lost 30 lbs but yet still broke out everyday. So I am thinking maybe my diet failed because I have a food intolerance? How do you determine a food intolerance? There are test out there that test for this, but they are pricey, and I am not sure if they are not a scam. I know alternavista figured citrus gave her 70% of her ac

like the users above said, l cysteine seemed to stop the hair loss and it also lowers the amount of B5 to take. honestly, as a guy, i would trade hairloss for acne, but the b5 would have to keep me at least 95% clear, and work forever to sacrifice my hair. iam more scared if there are other more serious side effects though.

I am sorry, but I just looked at your profile pics, and I don't see nothing horrific. like yes, there is hairloss. but your skin actually looks flawless and you just look like you have a slim face for your slim frame. where are all these cysts? you actually look like a beautiful late 20's girl, and I not even joking. where are all the wrinkles? anyways, I need supplements for crepitus and to try to prevent full blown arthritis. the part that is most painful for my is my le- 18635 replies

Repairing the long-term damage from Accutane
cervantes86 replied to IndigoRush's topic in Prescription acne medications
Isn't there a maximum dosage you're allowed to take for so long before you have to take a break? That seems like a long time. My derm took my weight and had to determine the dosage and for how long I could take it for, I suggest you bring this up to them because Accutane doesn't seem like something you'd take for over a year consecutively. I had that knee thing too, worse even because sometimes I'd feel it in my sciatic nerve. It went away for the most part but I still get it from time to ti- 18635 replies

so my doc has had me on accutane for over a year at 30 mg day, but I have been cutting the dose and for 5 months now i have been on 30 mg three times a week. well, i stopped taking it this week cause i developed clicking in my joints, and the occasional come and go mild pain. and by the stories i have read, this is just the beginning and it could get worse.......so i stopped, but my doctor still thinks iam doing his 30 mg a day thing. iam supposed to end my fake course in this month or two.- 18635 replies

Hello, I was in here 2011 when I had a major breakdown, because my antibiotics failed, and my moderately severe acne flared up. It caused me to end up in a partial hospital, break up with my bf, and I ended up dropping out of professional school. Well I am back, and my face is clear as a baby.............but with accutane 30X a week. It's been great, and I have been on accutane for over a year now, reducing it gradually, but maybe not fast enough, cause now I have developed clicking in my joints
