  1. Has anyone tried the UK formulation for Proactiv Plus? I know it is different to the US version, therefore I was just wondering if the UK version works as well as the US version supposedly does? Also, has anyone tried the Dermalogica Clear Start regime? Is it any good? Thanks
  2. Hey, I was wondering if anyone has tried the Cane and Austin Acne Treatment Pads? They contains 2% active Salicylic acid 5% Glycolic Acid to clean pores and exfoliate the skin. I have tried salicylic acid porducts before and they haven't worked but I was wondering if this would be better as it contains the glycolic acid as well? thanks for reading
  3. I am on Dianette too and have been for a year and it hasn't helped my acne whatsoever. So I was wondering if Yasmin might be better for my acne so if anyone could answer this post, it would be great
  4. Hey, I have had acne for 2 and half years, it used to be moderate but now its mild, but now it is affecting me more than it has before because I have had it for so long and its ruining my life. My skin has lots of hyperpigmentation and acne marks now and I still break out most days. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone; my skin has a tendency to dry out if I use a cleanser that is too harsh so I avoid them. I have large pores on my cheeks and nose. Basically, I have tried EVERYTHING,
  5. Hey, I am wondering what is the best mattifying/oil control moisturiser that can be found in the UK? I have an oily tzone, but dry cheeks, so I want something that actually moisturises but controls my oily tzone to keep it matte. Any suggestions?
  6. I am already on Dianette, I have been for a year and that hasn't worked. Nothing works for me!
  7. I am really tempted to try it! I don't think my acne is hormonal so hopefully it will work for me. How long did it take for you to see results? And how long until your skin was completely clear? I have tried almost every acne fighting ingredient and none of them seem to work, but I haven't tried silver so I might give it a try, thanks
  8. Hey, What's the best prescription acne medication available in the UK that isn't roaccutane? I've tried Duac, Zineryt and Lymecycline antibiotics and none of them have worked? What worked for you? Thanks:)
  9. Hey, I was wondering if anyone from the UK has used Silver Serum from the Skinshop.com/co.uk? I read an article about it in the Daily Mail about how it cleared up someone's severe acne and I was wondering if anyone has used it and if you have, how did you get along with it? Did it work? I've read lots of good reviews about it and I was wondering whether or not I should try it because on the reviews people say it's he only thing that has worked for them and it works better than prescription medi
  10. I have been using duac (5% benzoyl peroxide and 1% clindacymin) for 5 and a half weeks now and on the patient leaflet it says results should be seen between 2-5 weeks. So far, I have seen no results whatsoever, it hasn't got better and it hasn't got worse, so how many more weeks should I give it to see if it works? when should I go back to my doctor and ask for something else? Thanks:)
  11. I have tried Salicylic Acid many times, in the form of cleansers, serums and moisturisers and it has never really worked for me or made any difference whatsoever, I am really stuck about what to do?
  12. I have been taken oral antibiotics (lymecycline) for nearly 3 months now and I am not seeing an improvement whatsover and on the patient leaflet it states it should take around 8 weeks to see an improvement and it is already over that time. I have also been applying duac gel which contains 5% benzoyl peroxide and a topical antibiotic called clindamycin for 5 weeks now and on the patient leaflet is says an improvement should be seen between 2-5 weeks and it has also been over that amount of time
  13. LONG POST ALERT! Hi, I am new to acne.org but I thought I'd join because I feel so alone as it seems that I am the only person I know who has acne. I have had acne for 2 years, it started when I was 16, before that I had flawless skin and hardly ever got spots and I never had a skincare regime whatsoever. Now I am 18 and I am at the end of my tether with acne. I have tried literally everything and nothing works for me. I have tried the body shop tea tree range, seaweed range and aloe range, I
