  1. Hey, I've enjoyed reading your posts... I just wanted to make sure you don't have the same experience that I did on birth control. I went on Yasmin for my acne, recomended by both my Derm and my Gyno. I've been on it for 3 months and I have never had this bad of acne. I started the CSR treatment during my second month of Yasmin and I'm getting clearer slowly. I'm switching to Ortho-cyclin in hopes of clearing up my acne. Yasmin actually made me breakout worse. Please becareful about what type y
  2. I'm glad this everyone has posted. I used to be one of those girls who just took a shower and went out without make-up. Instead of obsessing about my make-up, like I do now, I used to obsess about other things. My teeth, my hair, my clothes... the list goes on. I think the point I'm trying to make is that I didn't appreciate how lucky I was. My acne is very recent, and I've started wearing concealer for the first time in my life. I now can't imagine my life without it. I think about the days whe
  3. Thank you sooo much. I'm in my 5th week as well, following the CSR strictly, being gentle, eating right, etc. THEN I get this massive break out, more than I've ever gotten, and it won't go away! I'm still sticking to the CSR, but I was getting worried. I know what you mean, you're wondering if you're making it worse. I was scared that I was hurting my skin, or having a bad reaction until I read your post and all the replies. It's good to know that I'm not alone, and we both seem bound for clear
  4. I've also tried this product. I'm Hawaiian/Asian, so my skin has alot of pigment and I tend to get brown spots in the sun. I used it as a spot treatment before I began Dan's CSR and I hated it. It did dry out the zits, but my skin was purple and bruised looking. I think it might have something to do with my skintone and ethnicity. Anyone who tans easily, or has naturally dark skin shouldn't use this product. It also burns for a long time after applying it. Other than that, I'm glad it worked for
  5. yea, Bradlee is a perfect example of how well this regimen can work! His skin looks so nice and healthy! Thing is, he has never given up. He has kept in constant contact with me, we've talked about how his skin is doing the whole time, changing things, adding things, modifying things, etc. His persistence has really paid off and I think he looks just wonderful! Any of you who are struggling, let us help you through it. Post it here in the CSR forum, or send a PM. It isn't always easy to get
  6. I'm living in an area of China that doesn't have running water, to paint you a picture. I've tried asking about a pharmacy, but it's out of the question. I did manage to get a hold of some non-medicated, oil free Clean and Clear Skin Balancing Moisturizer. My skin has improved dramatically. Even with the 10%, I don't have much redness or peeling, and I'm applying slightly less than Dan recomends. I plan on switching to 2.5% ASAP when I return to the states. My break-out has cleared, but I still
  7. I found a great way to pick. I know that it's "the evil of all skin care", but I have found some cases where picking can be very affective, if treated correctly. First, make sure that the pimple is ready to be picked. Make sure that it is dry so your fingers don't slip and cause more damage. Second, wash your hands well (especially under your nails) to prevent infection. After popping, cover the area with Neosporin to prevent scaring and infection. ***NOTE -- make sure that your skin will not br
  8. I should also add that i am forced to use a 10% BP cream because it's the only thing I could find after countless hours of searching. I hope this is just the 2 week "breakout" stage. I am also on a low-dose birth control pill. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
  9. yep all ye have to do is go pssssssssst! im only doin this to clear up my acne dnt take it to heart Wud you live on an island for 7 days no food or contact just water? PSHH.. that's a win-win... loose 10 pounds AND be free of acne? duh... YES would you go naked for an entire day doing the things you regularly do?
  10. I can't tell if applying more BP to break outs is hurting or helping my progress. I'm on day 11 of the routine, and just had a massive breakout in the areas that I've been treating. One zit multiplied into three, despite washing, moisturizing and applying BP. What's going on? Is the BP helping or hurting the zits? Morning - Wash with neutrogena gentle face wash, apply BP cream, moisturize with Clean and Clear Dual action moisturizer, apply non-everything dermo approved make-up. Night - Same thi
  11. I'm 17 years old and recently had a fresh outbreak of acne that I thought was under control. I have been following the guidelines for the clear skin routine, but have to use 10% bp cream because I'm in China and that's all I could find. I'm now on my 11th day, and just broke out severly, in the areas where I was applying the BP the most. Could this have caused my breakouts? I'm exfoliating to clear dead skin cells and using a moisturizer to prevent over-drying. The moisturizer is oil free and co
