  1. Hi... I have this problem too... Does anyone have an update/did you treat your oily dehydrated skin?
  2. Hello, I am interested in starting a support group online for people dealing with with acne and depression. I have become extremely depressed and could use some talking with others who are going through this. I am looking for people who have tried everything, are around my age(I am 20) and would be interested in talking via facebook or email. I am female, but it is open to anyone. Please respond if you are interested.
  3. Hello all, So I got off acctuane three months ago. I started a retinoid(differin .1 gel) twoish weeks ago. I recently switched moosturizers because I was using cetaphil spf 2x a day and it was terrible! Didn't moisturize, stung, and had chemical sunscreen. I switched to cerave moisturizing lotion last Friday, and I love it. My skin(except for my forehead) is pretty smooth. I have been getting more clogged pores than usual on my forehead. Do you think this is do to the moisturizer or the differ
  4. I was able to go back to school. I transferred to a school closer to home. I still struggle socially but I do the best I can do. I Just tell myself that my academic performance doesn't depend on my looks.
  5. Hello friends. So on Christmas of 2014 I finished Accutane. I was on 40 mg for six months, and 60 mg for one month. I weigh 110 lbs. I had great results. As time went on, I noticed I started to get more and more clogged pores. I have only gotten one large pimple since being off the medication. The clogged pores really bother me because my skin is just so rough. I would rather have one bad pimple and smooth skin than lots of clogged pores. Anyways, I am currently using: -Cetaphil Daily Fa
  6. I have been in a nine year relationship...with acne. Starting in middle school my skin alternated between good and bad. It continued until college in this cycle. In college, my skin was so dry, oily, flaky, sensitive, and broken out. My makeup looked terrible. I started out not going to events and avoiding people. It got so much worse. I would hide out in my room, not go to class or work, and just cry when I got ready in the mornings. Eventually my mom had to come pick me up at school(she flew d
  7. Hello, I just finished an Accutane treatment on Christmas 2014. I then have been using Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. I have been getting clogged pores and my skin texture isn't good. I just started differin .1 gel a week ago. I am not a huge fan of the ceraphil moisturizer. It seems greasy and has sunscreen(which I do not want at nighttime) I am very sensitive, acne prone, oily, and dry/flaky around my nose. I'm thinking or trying Cerave pm moisturizer? Or jojoba oil? Any thoughts? Ho
  8. Hi - I have been using Ziana consistently since my course ended last July. I didn't get an initial outbreak, but it should be said that Ziana contains a VERY low dose of retinoids and also clindamycin (which my derm told me would lessen the chance of a flare-up). Using differin with Retin-a seems like overkill, aren't they both a retinoid? I'm actually just using differin sorry for the confusion! No problem! I would say try using differin every few days, and slowly incorporate it in. That's ho

  10. Hello friends, So I finished an Accutane treatment on Christmas day of 2014. I started to gradually get more clogged pores. I have only had one real pimple. My skin texture is just not smooth. I have just been using a mild cleanser and moisturizer. I recently started Differin .1 gel. I am applying it every other night. I have used this in the past, along with Retin A(it made my face so dry and irritated). Do you think I will have an initial breakout? How long do you think it will take to rem
  11. Hello, I am on the hunt for a nighttime moisturizer without spf. I have sensitive skin, am acne prone, and have combination skin. I have some oily skin, but I definitely need a good moisturizer. I would appreciate any thoughts.
  12. I have been using Cetaphil forever. What doesn't your skin like about it? IM just scared to switch too much. I like how it is a gentle cleanser. I guess I will just wait and see what my dermo says. It's all so frustrating.
  13. hey kimber607. Thanks for your reply. Nonthey didn't suggest anything they just wanted to use gentle stuff for awhile. I have an appointment on Friday!
  14. Hello friends. I have been an axne sufferer for nine years. I finished accutane up in December, and my skin was great. Now it's 2.5 months later, and my skin isn't terrible, but I have a lot of clogged pores. I'm lost and frustrated with what to do. Currently I wash my face with Cetaphil Daily Cleanser and use Cetaphil Daily Moistuizer. I use the clarisonic at night time. I am also on birth control. I do wear makeup. I don't know if I should start a retinoid, use a toner, change moisturizers,
  15. Thanks everyone! They are skin colored bumps so more so clogged pores instead of pimples. They do seem to just be in my t zone, and I can tell my oil is coming back. Could it just be an adjustment period with that?
