  1. Yasmin helped my acne but it hasn't cured it. When I started it I was taking marvelon, which made my face worse than ever. I know BCP takes time to improve acne, but after a couple of days after taking yasmin I could see all the cysts around my jaw reduce. Now I rarely get spots on my jaw line, whereas before it was always covered with cysts. I still do get spots around my mouth and cheeks though, but people have commented that my skin looks better. I've been on it for a year and I think that po
  2. I've been taking yasmin for my hormonal acne for a year. It completely cleared the acne around my jaw (which was the worst), and made my skin much better. I still got spots, but they weren't cystic and they weren't as bad as before. However, a month or so ago my skin started getting TERRIBLE- worse than it has been in years. I had deep painful cystic acne around my jaw, chin and forehead (I never get spots on my forehead). Anyway, it kept on getting worse and then a few weeks ago I had two

Please please please Help! I've started having a massive breakout around my mouth area. It started out of nowhere (my acne was mild before). The cysts are really deep and painful. I have cut out dairy and I'm reducing sugar but nothing is helping! I'm using BP on it, but nothing is working! Also on yasmin (and have been for a year) Any idea what could have caused this??
  4. Thanks for the advice! I am going to cut out dairy and sugar for the next month to see if it has an effect. I'll try anything at this stage. I would like to go on spiro, but I don't think it's widely used here in Ireland as an acne treatment. I don't have enough money to see a dermatologist, so I would have to get it prescribed by my GP, which I doubt they would do here unfortunately.
  5. Hi, In the past 2 months or less my acne has been getting 100 times worse, and now it's at its worst in 6 years. I really can't understand what is going on, and I would really appreciate some advice. A brief history of my acne: I'm 22 now (female). My acne started at at 13, it was severe during the teenage years. I tried many topical products and anti-biotics. It has always been localised to my jaw, chin and cheeks. I started taking yasmin a year ago, and it has removed all the acne that was
  6. The oil I use is the pink kose softymo speedy cleansing oil, and the Naris up skin conditioner (which is quite similar to the hado labo one I think). I like the toner because it makes my skin feel less tight after using a clay mask. I used to use the nature republic aloe vera (the one in the big green pot) and I thought it was quite good, but I couldn't fit it in my bag when I moved back from Asia so I had to leave it. I don't think my skin has deteriorated from not using it though.
  7. Yeah, the oil cleanser is for removing makeup. I've been converted to double cleansing and it's made a big difference to my skin. The toner I'm using is a popular one in Japan that's meant to be super calming, but I guess it might be a bit OTT. Are there any disadvantages to using the toner? Ok, I'll get rid of the face scrub. Thanks! The spot treatment I use is trilogy blemish control gel. My ultimate skin-care goal would be to clear all my acne, and get rid of all my red marks (I'm extreme
  8. Hi, I would be really grateful if someone could give me feedback on the skincare routine I have! In the morning I use 1. oil cleanser 2. face wash 3. Gentle moisturising toner 4. Moisturiser 5. Suncream At night I use 1. oil cleanser 2. face wash 3. face scrub (for everyday use) 4. Gentle moisturising toner 5. AHA serum 6. Face oil 7. Spot treatment 8. Sleeping mask Every few days I use a clay mask and a sudocreme mask. Is there anything I'm doing wrong or should be adding in? Note
  9. I'm in the same situation. I'm half way through my second pack of marvelon and my skin looks terrible, I feel like some kind of reptile. I thought it was just an initial breakout but now I'm worried that it's going to stay like this. I'll let you know if my skin gets better
