  1. Hey guys I was on Accutane for 6 months, 40 mg/day. It cleared my face, back, and chest up completely and I couldn't be happier with the results. I've been off it for about 4 months now, and I haven't had a breakout since maybe my 3rd/4th month on tane. So basically I've been clear for at least a full 7 months. I still have some redmarks left over, but they're fading pretty quickly. I had very mild side effects throughout my course. The only issues I had were dry lips, and slightly dry skin bu
  2. Thank you so much for the responses, guys. I think these bumps have spread a bit since my last post and I don't know if it's my imagination, but they look a bit more red too. It's kind of hard to tell because they're extremely tiny and I can't really see them unless the light hits them, and I look really close. I applied some BP this morning to test if they are infact acne related, but it's too early to tell if that's made a difference at all. But I'm starting to become really convinced that thi
  3. Hey everyone, So after a sixth month course of accutane, I'm left with very tiny uniflamed bumps all over my cheeks and I have no idea what they are. I've had these throughout the last 3 months of my course, and now 3 weeks post accutane they seem to have gotten worse. I've searched everywhere but I can't find any information of what these could be... I'm thinking they might not even be acne because I developed them around the time when my skin was starting to clear. If anyone can tell me what
  4. Thank you both for the responses I really appreciate it. And thanks, TTAnderson. I couldn't be happier with my results. I haven't broken out in over 3 months now, which is the longest I've been clear in over 6 years. I would defiitely say this is the best choice I've ever made haha.
  5. Hey guys, I just finished a six month course of Accutane 4 days ago. Would it be okay to start using AHA right away, or how long do you think I should wait before I can start using it and other exfoliating products? I'm really hoping to fade some of these red marks. Thanks in advance
  6. Hey guys, so I'm currently starting my 4th month of accutane and right now I'm pretty much clear of all actives. My only issue is that I've noticed these very tiny flesh colored bumps on my skin that are not going away at all. I've had these for over a month now and they're still there even the the rest of my acne has cleared. I can't see them unless I'm really close to the mirror, but I can feel them whenever I touch my face. Does anyone have any idea of what these are and if they'll ever go aw

  8. Thanks for all the replies, guys =) Yeah, I think I'm just gonna go with what she says and go for the blood tests every 3 months. I mean I have like ONE side effect right now.. dry lips and that's it, so I'm not too worried. Thanks again.
  9. Hey, thanks for the replies! Actually, I haven't had any bloodwork done throughout my course so far, which is why I find it weird that she doesn't want me to get my blood drawn until the end of the first three months. I'm not sure whether or not to trust her at all because she's given me quite a bit of advice that's contrary to what I've researched. For example, I asked her what kind of SPF I should use since I'll be going on vacation soon and she told me that accutane does not make your skin
  10. When I was younger I was desperate to clear my acne overnight and thought it would work if I washed my face every couple hours rather than twice a day. Well needless to say, it wasn't successful and only ended up irritating my skin. And also, I've never been one to pick my skin but one day I just broke down and started scratching the hell out of my skin in hopes of erasing it all. Now I have all these beautiful shallow scars all over my cheeks and forehead that are a constant reminder of my stup
  11. Alright so yesterday I went to see my doctor for a follow-up appointment since I'm nearing the end of my second month on accutane. I asked her about the monthly blood tests and she basically told me that I only had to take them every three months. I've heard everyone say that you have to take them every month but she says it's not necessary at all. This kind of worries me because what if something goes wrong within that period of time? Anyway, do you think I'll be okay if I get my blood taken
  12. I haven't been 100% clear for years so I can't even remember what it feels like. I'm on accutane now though, so I'm pretty excited to be able to actually experience clear skin for practically the first time since I was in elementary school.
  13. Over 6 years. It started in 6th grade on my forehead.. then soon after that migrated down the rest of my face. I've finally just had enough of it and decided to get rid of it for good by going on accutane. Hopefully this is the last year I'll ever have to deal with acne again. That being said I still have a bunch of red marks, shallow scarring, and keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs... it seriously never ends.
  14. I'm about a month into my course and have been applying Emu Oil for maybe 2 weeks. I've noticed that my red marks have lightened quite a bit. I actually bought it in hopes of filling in some shallow scarring but instead I noticed it was working really well for the red marks. Not only that but it makes your skin SUPER soft. The only thing is, it can look pretty greasy so you might wanna apply it at night or whenever you're not going out. But it's amazing stuff, I definitely recommend it.
  15. To do a full face it takes me about 45-50 minutes. Sometimes less, sometimes more. I'm also a perfectionist when it comes to make-up I can't wait for the day when I can go out without worrying about what my face looks like.
