    DIM

Greetings, I am actually taking a precursor to DIM, referred to as I3C (Indole-3-Carbinol) from NOW foods...its part of my acne arsenal. Just to let you guys know, I am technically "over" my acne...In other words, its almost under my complete control, seldomly do I get any outbreaks, and if I do they are exceptionally mild and short-lived. I will be updating my regimen soon since I've been away for such a long time. Best of luck to you all.
  2. Dear ts93, Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any viable and efficient quick fixes to acne (atleast to my knowledge), if you're interested in controlling the acne outbreaks on a long term. From what I know, acne isn't a disease in itself, but instead it is merely a symptom for some other underlying cause (whether this be hormonal, or due to auto-intoxication, poor liver function, candida, etc.) Allergies and migraines may also be symptoms of such an underlying cause. What other physiologi
  3. Breakouts are quite common during a detox. Yes, I am afraid this means that it is working.
  4. Greetings, I apoligize for being being frank, but I really doupt accutane will ever "cure" acne...at best it will suppress it for a given time. I tried accutane once, for two months, and I had to discontinue it do to complications. Furthermore, about six months after treatment, the acne came back worse than before (accutane is hard on the liver BTW, but I assume you're aware of this). The only way I was able to suppress my cystic acne is by making big and I mean BIG lifestyle changes, as well a
  5. Acne can be be quite frustrating at times, no? Have you ever contemplated trying to treat acne at it's root? By this, I mean treating it internally: diet change, liver detox, intestinal cleanses, candida cleanses, hormone balancing using supplements, etc. If you're interested, there are some good people in the nutritional section of this forum that may be able to help you, I included. I've tried many the prescriptions/non prescription topicals, and even the big "bad" drugs (accutane) that man
  6. Don't take your supplements with your fiber supplement; in fact, the easiest thing to do is to take your fiber supplement first thing in the morning with plenty of water, or else to take it just before going to bed. Leave a window of 1 hour (either before or after taking the fiber), between the fiber shake and the supplements. Also, the bloating you're experiencing means you have some obvious digestive distress, how often does this problem occur? After what type of meal?
  7. Improve the ratio of good fat (monoinsaturated and polyinsaturated), and limit saturated fat (especially from animal sources) as well as completely avoid consuming trans fat /hydrogenated fat.
  8. I actually tried coconut oil for the first couple of days but it made me sick so I stopped. I'll probably start up on it again because I have about 2 jars left and I don't want it to go to waste and who knows, maybe it'll help... Good luck in clearing your acne! May I ask how did the coconut oil make you sick? Indigestion, cold/flu symptoms, other? A die-off reaction is normal when taking an antifungal agent like coconut oil, IF and only IF the symptoms are linked to Candida. P.S Is you
  9. Torontonian here too.Someone on this forum told me he sees a Dr Colin Hong. Also Dr. Channy Y. Muhn and Dr Fred Weksberg were mentioned.I will see Dr Hong next month but heard good things about the other two as well. What treatment are you thinking of doing? Honestly....I don't know. What treatments do these doctors of yours provide? Where would they be situated?

  11. I've done 5-6 liver flushes myself in the past 5 months or so, and yes they have helped alot (mostly in relation to my allergies like eczema and skin rashes). I did notice sigificant improvement in my skin after every flush, but the clear skin would only last a week or two. I am guessing that there is more work to be done...I'll do some more in the future. P.S Those "stones" or goo balls are not from the drink (that's a funny theory though); I arrived at this conclusion when I produced almost n
