  1. Congratulations! I hope it continues to keep you clear!
  2. I'm so sorry! I wish you didn't. But GOOD LUCK and I hope it works just as well as taking it orally. *fingers crossed*
  3. B, I was exactly like you. I was light-headed, had headaches and just not feeling right. I kept taking it because I read someone was exactly like me but still kept taking Spiro and after 2 wks their light-headed feeling went away. I noticed this exactly as well at the 2 wk mark. Now I feel great!
  4. Hey there! Sorry to hear you're going through such a difficult time. But I really do think you should stick to the Spiro much longer. I’ve read *a lot* and done *a lot* of research on Spiro and this medication is known to take longer to work. It can take anywhere from 4-6 mths to start working but after 8 mths to 1 yr, this is where people completely stop breaking out (based on the reviews I’ve read). The people who have used this medication for a long period always insist to stick with it
  5. Thanks for your lovely post zincyellowcobra! I've just started Spiro and this gives me hope and to keep going!
  6. Good Luck Helen. I'm into 3 wks now and I can tell you the thirsty feeling does subside alot. I remember when I started I was so thirsty and I think on the 4th day, I was so so so thirsty that I drank 5 big cups of water all in a row. And I was still thirsty!!! Now, I feel like I'm back to normal (as in before taking Spiro). Like how thirsty I feel, urinating etc.
  7. Thanks b5acneout! I have never taken b5 before, but I really want to start taking it for my oily skin! It's so oily and it's driving me crazy. I am planning to not overdose but take 1000-2000mg daily (spread throughout the day) and because of my low dose, do you think it will be able to control my oily skin? As soon as I start taking it, I'll keep updating here.
  8. I'm interested in taking B5, but I don't want to take alot of pills. If I take 2g-3g of B5 daily, would it still be able to stop my oil production, or you need to take a way higher amount for it to stop sebum?
  9. Avene is pretty expensive. I saw this in stores, and i have read reviews that its pretty good at banishing blemishes but not sure about red marks? There's a thread here on the Cleanance K that might help you. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=73146
  10. wow, that is harsh. Poor Tash   :hand:  But seriously, why isn't it coming up? I want to be in love.
  11. Ouch Funsince1983. Has it left it raw? I was thinking to use this on my face as a gentle scrub, but not sure now.

  13. Really thats weird? Ill see if your tip works. Thanks!
  14. I'm really interested in this. I've heard alot about it, and i think its time for me to give it a try! I am going to start out with using castor oil and extra virgin olive oil. Not sure with the ratios yet, but first I have to buy the ingredients! Just a question, do you have to use a washcloth or something similar to remove the oil, or can you just wash the oil away with water? I'm guessing it doesnt work because water and oil dont mix. ???
  15. Are there more moods? I've seen someone have 'In Love' but i dont see this in the drop down box when i click 'My Mood'??? Please help

  18. I've never heard of tinted moisturizer but it sounds like a good idea. Can I get this at any store that carries makeup? Do you know a specific brand name for this product? Thanks !! I know that Covergirl has a tinted moisturiser and its pretty good. Cheap and works really well.
  19. There are a couple new OTC mineral foundations that have been introduced lately. I think its has nothing to do how cheap or expensive they are, as long as it works for you. I think there's a couple that you might look into like Physicians Formula (which alot of people like here on acne.org) and the NEW Revlon Colourstay Mineral Foundation, (Revlon's Colourstay Liquid Foundation was really popular here on the boards, so their mineral makeup might be great as well!) Here are some OTC mineral bran
  20. Thats great to hear! I might sample this in stores just to see how its like.
  21. I dont agree. I know that you mentioned Bare Minerals to use as a loose powder, but that is a big no-no to MOST people. (I know some people can handle it, but the MAJORITY cannot.) Causes major irritation.
