  1. I've been using duac (benzoyl peroxide & clindamycin) for about a year and a half now, and it's become pretty ineffective now. I'm tempted to try this regimen to clear me up, but it seems unlikely to work if benzoyl peroxide has stopped working for me. Has anyone else been in a similar situation but still had success with this regimen?
  2. I've used it a few times when my duac prescription ran out before I was able to get another, and it seems to work well. The only issue I found is that when it dries it looks kind of chalky, like you've got a really thin layer of flour on your face. Is that something you've found? Duac isn't working that well for me anymore so tempted to go back to acnecide.
  3. What does your daily diet look like? I eat quite a lot of bread, which I realise could be an issue; it's never seemed to have an impact on my acne in the past though. I normally have 5 pieces of fruit/veg spread over the course of the day. For dinner I eat quite a lot of chicken, pork, potatoes, onions, etc. Normally I'll have something like a curry, bolognese, pork chops with a spicy sauce, pasta, casserole etc. I'd admit that I definitely eat more sugar than I should, which I gather isn't very

  5. So a quick bit of background... A couple of years ago I started getting quite nasty cystic acne across most of my face, which was aggravated by me scrubbing at it and generally irritating my skin. I went on Lymecycline for around 7 months which cleared my skin up really well. Lymecycline started to become ineffective (I was getting a few spots here and there) so I was prescribed Erythromycin and Duac gel (benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin) instead. This worked pretty well for me for around a yea
  6. Great for acne prone skin!

I've just finished my first tube of this moisturiser, and so far I've been really impressed. My skin breaks out relatively easily, so I spent a lot of time trying to find a moisturiser that wouldn't cause me problems. I went through multiple La Roche Posay, Nivea and Boots products which all broke me out to varying degrees before I found this moisturiser. To my knowledge, this product contains 3 ingredients rated as 'mildly comedogenic', although this has been absolutely no problem for my skin.
  7. Anyone used this? I've used the Effaclar facial wash for a long time and it does a good job, interested to know if the H moisturiser is worth it. If not, has anyone got any good alternatives (planning to buy the full regimen set when I've got a bit more cash so I'm going to stick with store brand stuff for the moment)?
  8. I was on lymecycline for around 6 months (it was great, cleared my face right up and stopped me getting a single spot for ages) but it started to become ineffective, presumably due to antibiotic resistant bacteria. I've been on erythromycin for 4 months but it's not been that good, and my skin is starting to get bad again. I've been using benzyol peroxide/clindamycin gel with the erythromycin tablets so I don't know if any improvement is attributable to the BP or the tablets. Does anyone kno
  9. Hey guys! This is my first post round here, lovely to meet you all. I'll bullet point my problem to make it easier to read - Got really bad acne on cheeks, chin and jaw, was put on lymecyline for 6 months (it began to work after around 3 months) - After 6 months it stopped working properly - Was put on erythromycin instead (just under a month ago) - Very little improvement, acne has started to worsen again (particularly over the last week; I'm now getting acne on my forehead too whic
