  2. I'm coming up to my 4th month on accutane and it's not working, so I'm preparing myself for a return to all those lovely topicals and prescriptions once I finish my course. I was thinking, people have success with different things and they have all different types of acne, so here's my deal: I'm 23, started breaking out mod-severely around 20 Oil has not been my problem I get whiteheads that slowly turn into pimples Mostly on my cheeks and jawline like a "beard" shape Can anyone relate as far

  4. I'm 3 months into tane treatment, and still breaking out a lot...and was just wondering because most people say they have very oil skin when they start treatment..well oil was never a problem for me, i just broke out all the time. has anyone with normal to dry skin been on tane and seen it work? any advice, thoughts, would be appreciated!
  5. Hey ya'll, i'm halfway into my third month on accutane and still breaking out significantly...I'm wondering if there is still a chance it will clear if i stick it out the full 5 months...I have mod. to severe adult acne and I thought tane would make it better so i wouldn't have to deal with it, but I'm thinking it just isn't working for me.... anyone out there who has used this please let me know if and when you cleared, and if you think I should should stay with it and even take another round
  6. Thanks for the info...Ariventa I thought about trying the sugar thing but decided to use salt instead...I think I can't go wrong with that as long as I don't do it too hard right? and lionqueen, I know you say you use an exfoliation brush, but they scare me because I'm never sure how soft of bristles...I mean some feel almost feathery and others are pretty coarse. Also, if I start the retin-a like every 3rd night, is it ok to exfoliate for the other two nights with the salt or a brush? (becaus
  7. Thanks for the advice lionqueen and ariventa. I'll let you know how my retin-a trials go. I have a cetaphil spf 15 moisturizer...is this ok to use at night also? also i will def look into the emu oil, and have been using jojoba as i heard that is also helpful.
  8. Lionqueen! i'm so happy to hear from you, you seem to be soooo knowledgable on this subject from all your posts. so.....i will definitely take your advice on not combining them. I'd like to give retin-a a chance so i'll quit my beloved baking soda today. I know you like green cream and mandelic acid... but do you think retin-a by itself works well?
  9. I've been reading from this forum for a long time, and have come across some super info about the successful use of baking soda as an exfoliant to get rid of comedones and whiteheads. The baking soda does help me, but i'm still not clear. I have a tube of retin-a sitting on my night stand and since i've heard pretty positive stories about it (aside from an IB) I'm wondering if I could add this into my baking soda regimen. I know they both slouph off skin, so i was thinking of alternating- o
