  1. So far I have not seen any significant changes. I had two periods technically though, which wasn't too abnormal. I'm due for one any time soon. My skin is less oily, kind of, and my skin is only getting about 5 pimples instead of 8. My hair doesn't appear to be falling out as much either. My body also seems to be slowing down by roughly about 10% maybe? Or it's just me? Who knows, but so far everything is the same but decently better.
  2. @leanna123 thank you for commenting!! That's actually interesting, I kind of already am taking another medication with this drug, but only to regulate my period more naturally. I take provera for the first five days of the month to jump start my very irregular period. If I get my period that month, I skip taking provera the following. But it is NOT depo-provera. I am taking a low dose that actually helps me ovulate. I don't have cystic acne, or let alone terrible skin. I just have oily mild "a
  3. I know this is an oldddd post, but if any other ladies stumble upon this just know I too take only 25 mg of spironolactone. I am skinny, diagnosed with "lean" PCOS and the spiro seemed to work at first, now I'm pretty sure I'm going through the "initial break-out". My skin isn't too bad, just 10 or so blemishes on my face and an uneven tone. I also have unwanted hair, but hopefully 2-3 month from now this stuff will kick in again.
  4. I have been battling with breakouts and mild/moderate acne for the past 2 years, and it seemed t be getting worse and worse. I am currently 19 going on 20 and never have I ever dealt with any breakouts in my early-mid teen years, even when I was going through puberty all I would get is the occasional pimple or two, otherwise my skin was flawless. Right when my senior year of high school started I started breaking out like crazy (I was going through an awful break up at the time but it was still
  5. Well thank the Lord you don't have cystic acne, most woman who are prescribed spiro have awful skin. You have moderate acne, or just a bunch of pimples that can be easily covered with make up from what it looks like! I'm on the same boat, except I get that more on my cheeks and jawline. If your breakouts are along your cheeks and jawline, it is hormonal. You should really go see an endocrinologist and get some blood work done and see why your breaking out. You could have PCOS, or something along

  7. This week has been rough. I am on the third week day 21 and my skin is poop. I broke out on day 18 of Spironolactone, it was just like my old hormonal days. I am worried because how could my skin be so awesome and clear then break out like a mofo right when things were finally starting to seem to work? Was it the "it gets better before it gets worse" kind of thing? Because right now I'm pretty sure my skin is completely losing that glowy appearance and going back to crap. My t-zone is also more
  8. This week I finally saw noticeable differences in my skin at least. My current blemishes went away and my skin started to almost have a glow to it. I had maybe two pimples, but the overall tone was much clearer. The side effects were all gone, except the occasional trip to the bathroom. Insomnia completely stopped, and I finally felt as if there was hope to ending all of the annoying blemishes and pounds of make-up to help me appear "flawless". My skin was also less oily, and I felt like the bla
  9. The first week I noticed a lot of the common side effects. Hoping it would help my PCOS like symptoms such as the excessive hair and mild/moderate acne right away, however, it did not. Which I knew, I just secretly wished I would be the rare case where I all of a sudden saw improvements. I experienced excessive thirst, insomnia, not too bad but in the middle of the night I would wake up for a good two hours not being able to go back to sleep. Thankfully netflix helped me with that issue. I also
  10. Scared..but still hopeful
