  1. I remember being this social butterfly two years ago. My skin was so clear. Now I am this insecure girl who's too afraid to go to any social events, clubs, or meet new people. When I meet people, I'm so quiet and it usually results in the new person thinking I don't like them. I only go to social events if I know someone really well there. And when I do go, I stick with that person the whole time. I just get scared they're gonna notice the acne scars or acne bumps under my makeup :/ Any
  2. I really sincerely hope you feel better <3 we are all here for you.
  3. I use bare essential foundation. They're a little pricy ($30) but it's oil-free but its definitely not as bad for your skin as other foundations. It's light weight, perfect for olive skin tones and it covers. Remember to powder/set your foundation but lightly (you don't want to over powder, it makes your foundation too obvious!). I deal with a ton of hormonal acne and even more scarring, but this helps get rid of my scars and makes my foundation way less noticeable. My friends had seen my re
  4. Wow! Thank you so much for your suggestion. No my dermatologist did not allergy test me. Your dermatologist seems to be a good one. I will ask my derma for topical antibiotics instead. I, too, am worried about the long term effects of oral antibiotics. Thanks so much again.

I went to my dermatologist again after the 2 months and she said it had a minimal effect. My face did clear up a bit but i was still breaking out. Now she prescribed Solodyn and I want the generic prescription (Minocycline) but the pharmacy I went to says they need to call my dermatologist to confirm that I can get that medicati
  6. yesterday was clear. today i have 10 pimples. that hurt really bad.
  7. when you can't leave the house without makeup to cover your scars. when you don't want to hang out with your friends during the day or in natural lighting even if you have a shit ton of makeup on.
  8. Why is it that everyone points out your acne? I know it is on my face. I look at the mirror every morning when I wake up. The first thing I think about when I wake up is "I wonder how clear my face is today?" It literally determines what kind of a day I'll have. I don't choose to have acne. I want clear skin. I am trying so hard to get the clear skin. I've been following my acne regimen for almost 2 months now. Some days, it works fantastic. I'll have one or two active pimples. But other days I'
  9. I just wanted to post this here in case any of you got prescribed doxycycline and Epiduo. Acne did NOT go away away after a month of using this regime. In fact throughout the month, acne got more painful & itchy, and I felt hopeless. I lost a lot of confidence and I felt like it wasn't working. I really wanted results fast and I considered going on accutane. But I stuck to what my doctor told me to do for at least another 4 weeks before deciding to quit. Basically, you have to stick wit
