Holistic Healing, I don't believe in temporary relief of symptoms, I help people understand the role nutrition and exercise has to play in curing their conditions.

  1. With this mentality you probably won't, no matter what you try. Cure requires a certain level of self belief and I realize that it's difficult to stay positive sometimes, but you're doing yourself no favours with this sort of mentality, stress is a great contributor to acne... Thankyou, I agree positivity is certainly needed all over this board. You should share what you did to cure it in this thread for others to see!
  2. Well, so long as you're eating fresh organic food daily, then looks like you're on the right tracks, keep it up! I wouldn't be disheartened just yet, it can take a few months to notice the difference on the surface level. The fact that you're mentally feeling better in yourself shows that you're on the right path with your new diet If you want to do more, a good fitness regime and/or meditation can also be extremely beneficial.
  3. No. I don't use the topical for acne, even though it's beneficial for acne. I frequently go for days or weeks without it after running out before I get around to making more. However, I never added glucosamine until July. It is usually made from shellfish. It's not uncommon to be allergic to shellfish, but I never have been before This isn't acne. It's some kind of rash. Allergic response and/or exacerbated by the heat. And I'm not detoxing unless it has to do with drinking the water kefir dail
  4. Good that you're trying to take control of your acne problem. You're making a great start! If you're asking what else you can do, I suggest you make sure you're getting plenty of organic fruits and veg in your diet (preferably raw) and to avoid as much as possible any processed foods. Despite what doctors/dermatologists say diet has a lot to do with skin conditions, so keep doing what you're doing
  5. Although possible, it's unlikely that your panic attacks are caused by your mental aversion to acne.. though it could be contributing to it, your skin obsession could also be a metaphor for a different issue. It's impossible to diagnose online, and it's great that you are receiving counselling, I wish you luck.
  6. Whether intentional or not, every effect has a cause. Don't get me wrong I don't place blame, it would be superhuman for someone to know the cause of everything bad happening in their life, but yes, I believe wholeheartedly that you personally have control over your illness, so in that effect, yes it is your fault. It's ok if you don't wish to converse further, that is your prerogative. I'm giving my advice out for free, if it's not wanted I have no reason to go above and beyond.
  7. I'm saying that diet is clearly not the number 1 issue - i do believe i have an underlying cause - maybe hormonal . I do all of the above, though i eat organic when i can afford to do it. Did plaeo for a while. No processed foods - eat out rarely. I even saw 3 naturopaths in nyc and none were able to help over a year period It is not clear when you haven't tried every avenue. Even hormonal acne a proper diet can fix... Hormones are broken down in
  8. How long after the detox program did you break out? Detox often includes an aggravation of symptoms before amelioration.
  9. I'm saying that diet is clearly not the number 1 issue - i do believe i have an underlying cause - maybe hormonal . I do all of the above, though i eat organic when i can afford to do it. Even hormonal acne a proper diet can fix... Hormones are broken down in the liver the same as bodily toxins
  10. So you started having panic attacks recently? Do you happen to know the reason for them? If your panic attacks are the result of an issue from your childhood, it wouldn't matter that your acne started before or after the onset. Panic attacks usually come on after stress has build up to boiling point; so most likely the stress was always with you. Lastly, you answered that you don't eat sugar, but what about processed foods?
  11. As a cleanser, virtually anything natural is good, go ahead and use the yogurt honey mix, as long as you wash it off afterwards it's fine to use.. Anyway, I'm not totally sure what you're trying to bring across here, are you saying that your acne is worse since you started eating more healthy in 2012? Ideally if you were eating healthily since 2012 you should certainly see improvement.. 1) Are you eating organic foods? 2) Are you sure you're getting every vitamin and all the essential
  12. Well, if you're suffering from panic attacks that would cause an awful lot of stress which is one of the prime contributors to acne aside from diet. I believe this is where your problem lies, and prescription meds will not fix that problem, it will only control the symptoms and make your problem worse in the long run imo. Your panic attacks are coming from a deep seeded problem, perhaps from your childhood, that you may not remember. For certain the counselling will help in this regard, since
  13. Interesting... do you find that without using your topical that acne or other skin conditions would re-appear? Ideally your body should be able to deal with toxicity in your system to the point that you should no longer require topical ointments. Any topical (doesn't matter if natural or pharmaceutical) will serve to suppress skin conditions; eventually they will re-appear. Clearing your body from the inside out, as you have been doing, means that the manifestations of old skin problems should
  14. You may have already stated this but what is your topical made up of? Good idea to cut it out for now and see if you gain improvement...
  15. It's ok though abit boring to be eating the same foods over and over. I can see people trying it then getting bored and nibbling on junk foods to fill the void. Variety is the spice of life and all that... You could just use it as a template and add in other beneficial foods to mix things up abit, I'd make sure everything I ate was organic though.
