  1. i heard that whiteheads are caused by dry skin and blackheads by oily skin, is this true? And what is the best possible way to treat and prevent, because BP just doesn't seem to be working.
  2. what about salicylic acid, does taht help whiteheads at all?
  3. i use owy pads twice a daya nd bp at night and it works great
  4. thanks a lot guys, do you happen to know where i could pick some of this stuff up?
  5. Does anyone have really oily skin? For me it's only my nose that looks like there's a faucet under my skin, and a little on my forehead. Is there anything i can buy to apply just to my nose to make it less shiny and produce less oil? I tried c&c absorbing pads for a while, but they just seemed to make my skin produce more oil. And what about moisturizers? Should i be putting more on my nose, because i heard that putting moisture on your skin makes the skin produce less oil? idk, someon
  6. i tried it, didn't seem much improvement with the pills tho...
  7. actually....... i've never tried the c&c black head clearing wash, but what i found to work miracles is the neutrogena Deep Clean facial cleanser. Though it's not packin 2.0% SA, it does have some in there, and i think it's one of the best skin cleasers out there. (For me, making up the loss of 2.0%SA is easily done with oxy pads after washing.) I think i might try the c&c sometime just because everyone seems to like it. :-k
  8. Crew gel works great for me. I even have longer hair for a guy, and keep it brushed over my face. I'd go crew.
  9. i have two fairly large pimples right next to eachother on my chin. Yesterday morning one of them was a huge whitehead, so i popped it. Now the other one seems to be growing bigger and the one that i popped yesterday has turned into a black hard plug. What should i put on them to make them go away faster?
  10. or, you could use pert plus, it has no sls fyi
  11. does hairgel play a part in the formation of acne? i wear hairgel and play a sport right after school and don't have time to wash it out. Any comments or advice would be great, thanks.
  12. Morning: - wash with neutrogena deep clean - wipe face with Oxy Pads 2% SA - apply just enough cetaphil moisturizer to get rid of the flakes Afternoon: same as morning, w/o the moisturizer Night: - quick wash with deep clean - wash with C&C continuous control 10% BP - small amounts of C&C Persa Gel 10% BP on zits, no where else
  13. hmm, i have some differin i was prescribed and never used. the regimen i'm on right now is working great at clearing my acne, but my nose has pools of oil on it and i'm not sure what to do. Maybe i'll just use differin on my nose. Any other suggestions? thanks
  14. What should i do about oily skin? I have heard that it's caused by my skin being too dry, so i need moisturizer, but i have also heard that i shouldn't use a moisturizer with oily skin. Here's my regimen: Morning: - wash with neutrogena deep clean - wipe face with Oxy Pads 2% SA - apply just enough cetaphil moisturizer to get rid of the flakes Afternoon: same as morning, w/o the moisturizer Night: - quick wash with deep clean - wash with C&
