So i decided i'd come back and update, as i've not been to the site in some time, due to a hectic and transitional period in my life, plenty of change, plenty of sorting out, and i've also been on roaccutane! stressful, enlightening.. well folks, anyone considering roaccutane... if you're going to be on a high dose, from my experience the first 3 months aint easy, there will be a lot of ups and downs, you are likely to break out and clear up quite a few times over, you'll go through varying deg

Looks like things are goin good for you Barb, fantabidosy! hehe... hydrocortisol cream is a live saver eh?! and lip care of course.. i hear you on the hyperpigmentation actually, i've got a lot of that going on on the sides of my face it seems, like sort of pinky, bronwy, red marky bits, hah! (my dermatological descriptions..) i don't know how to describe it, and when you combine that in places with large pores or some scarring...yeh its a big melting pot.. but like yourself im gonna wait til t

DAY 42- Haven't been on here in the last week really I know, been busy, which is good when your on roaccutane, forces your mind off things. My eye infection has cleared up which is good news, but I realise that I am forced to care for side effects a lot more on 60mg. Im taking eye drops as often as I can remember to keep my eyes lubricated. Also had some nose bleeds recently so trying to make sure i moisturise there, as yucky as that is. Not too bad as far as dry skin goes, Im using hydrocortis

DAY 34 skins not good at the moment, but im aware that i will be breaking out at the moment. I have an eye infection, most probably cause by tane, my eye is red, sore, and infected, so im taking Fucithalmic for the next few days. I feel a bit run down, but it'll all pass.. heres a list of random stuff i utilise, Roaccutane 60mg Eucerin Dry Skin Repair (for face) carmex lip balm/ vaseline (Carmex is very good stuff) Johnsons baby body wash (for showering) (helps with dryness and appearance

Thankyou Freedom, you're very kind.. yes i can't wait for the healing stage, I realy can't.. So I'm on Day 32, day 3 of 60mg.. and yup im breaking out, basically because the blackheads that were purging, a lot of them are coming up into acne lesions now and slowly shrinking from there on.. so theres a lot of acne around (which will also be the case the next month or so adjusting to the 60mg), my lips are getting drier, face is red etc... but even though this is all going on, i don't feel too ba

Well it's been almost a week, and i haven't updated, because i've been away seeing my now non-existent-in-my-life, best friend. Im also not going to be able to post much really full stop because i am just dying getting over this on off very intensive relationship that's been very beautiful and very confusing for the last year and a half, this person as i said above (same person) is also my best friend and pretty much the only person i could really talk to, so i'm devestated..it's made worse by t

I am seeing a derm on Monday! :D

Well done mandy, for posting the pics, its a good thing to find the strength to do that... and we're all here with the same concerns... your acne looks pretty much like mine.. i have only moderate acne too for the most part, however i do get a couple of nasty, huge cysts that come in the same places all the time, they tend to scar, so on the weight of that and the fact that ive tried, a, b ,c ,d and e and they didnt work, my derm finally agreed to accutane.. i dont think you'll have too much of
      8. hey, good luck with the accutane. Ive seen the progress people have made on it and its nothing short of astonishing. Hang in there!

          Fucking black heads

NEVER complain about the weight of the aprehension caused by ANY legion to any individual you ignoramus, you personally don't have HUGE, UNSIGHTLY, ITCHY, UNCOMFORTABLE, SAND PAPER-LIKE, PURGING, open comedones ALL over your face do you? don't exactly know how it feels, do you?! you should thank your lucky stars they're only on your nose.. its bad enough to have cystic acne all over your face, but to know you have a big black coverage of the next generation of it spread nice and evenly and num

here's a little synopses of my first 3 weeks.. i'll stick this in my log too, i don't know why i feel compelled to post it here.. 30mg 1st month week 1- skin becomes less oily in the first few days, skin condition calms a bit, existing acne smoothens out a bit.. felt nauseous, headachy in the first few days, these subsided and are only side effects that i get occasionally now..skin becomes ever so slightly drier, and lips too.. but nothing in any way significant. bit of a sunburnt effect.. end
