  1. Hey everyone,... Just when I think my acne is getting better, I break out with cysts and nodules along my jawline/chin. I heard these jawline break-outs can be from a digestion issue so I've looked into buying Primal Defense capsules (which apparently help digest better + "reduce populations of yeast, parasites and bad bacteria in the intestines"). Anyways, along the lines of searching, I came across the multiple B5 Panthothenic Acid threads. So far I've gathered that they work (for most), they

  3. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR FEEDBACK/ADVICES & SUPPORT. THANK YOU.
  4. We ended the relationship just because I couldn't afford one right now. I have too much with work and I travel often. But the skin issues was a minor factor, and I want to do something about it before I come across another relationship in the future.
  5. Hello e-world, I've tried consulting friends and family for personal problems but sometimes I feel that they are being biased. Plus, the truth is hard to pull out from them when they happen to know the other party. So maybe you guys (indifferent) can give me advice. I've just gotten back from hanging out with a friend over a lunch and on the way back, I heard a song on the radio that reminded me of the last guy I was seeing. (so cliche!) Not only is he tall, dark and handsome (perhaps this is w
  6. I never wear makeup to my dermatologist. And I totally feel you about "feeling ugly"!! But many of us are talented with the palette and the brush and we have our ways of hiding our blemishes and scars. And I've had times when my past dermatologists told me "it's not as bad as you think it is" because they can't really see what's underneath the faux-skin. I do wear big sunglasses and a hat for less exposure in public but I think it's most important for your dermatologist to see the real deal!
  7. I always have been obsessed with my weight as well and dieting pills only took me so far. Dieting pills allow you to lose fat, burn calories and pump adrenaline but it doesn't help you build up your speedy metabolism nor does it help you build muscles. I know this sounds cliche!! and it gets annoying bc you probably heard it once too many but from past experiences, I've discovered that healthy dieting by counting your calories, daily exercises and staying off fatty food is the BEST. If you eat l
  8. They ARE outrageously expensive. I have the full coverage Kabuki brush, and the ones at Sephora or any beauty stores is just as good. It's true that some brush hairs fall out less than others but spending thrity-something on a brush is pricey! Plus... everything at BE seem to be overpriced. :\
  9. I haven't tried other mineral foundations but I have tried: Lancome, Vincent Longo, Shiseido, BobbiBrown and BE. I've never tried Laura Mercier but BobbiBrown's 100% oil free even finish compact foundation gives full coverage. I'm worried that other mineral foundations might make my face appear even more oily bc of the shine. The mineral veil from BE makes my face glow at first and by end of the day, I look greasy. Is it just me? I am considering it! They are a lot more affordabl
  10. I know, right? I know what you mean by make up dripping off your face. It's the worst when you pad your makeup bc it's cakey and literally just floating across the surface of your face. I used to use other foundations before I turned to BE bc it's "mineral" makeup so I figured it wouldn't be as oily... and it isn't as oily as other foundations but the coverage is shit. Hmmm...
  11. I need to go restock on my makeup today bc I'm low + I tanned over the weekend so I need to find a shade that blends in with the rest of my body. I'm just debating whether I should stick to BE or hop on the MAC bandwagon... or any other suggested cosmetic brands (?). I rarely break out with tiny pimples but I have nodules along my jawline and lower cheeks. I need max coverage for summer... I really appreciate the pixs & feedback!
  12. Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, BE looks great where I don't break out but it's barely covering up the spots that need to be. I think I'm leaning towards MAC now... thanks so much! P.S. Love the retarded face love!
  13. I've been a smoker for 3-4 years now. I usually smoke from a pack and a pack-and-a-half a day now. Are there any relations between smoking and acne? P.S. I do, indeed, need to cut down.
  14. Hello, I've used all sorts of acne medication from Proactiv to pouring Beta Acid on my face. I'm on Differin right now and my dermatologist suggested that I move on to Accutane by next month if there are no effective results. My acne is severe along my jawline and lower cheeks. I've gotten skin care + dermabrasion for almost a year and I have to admit that my skin does look healthier, but I break out just as much as I did a year ago. Anyways, how does Accutane work? Is it effective? Thanks, Li
