  1. Bobbi Brown (nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc). I've used MAC before and it added on to my cystic acne. I have alot of other friends that broke out from Mac and when they switched to Bobbi Brown their pimples cleared up. I use: Bobbi Brown Oil-free even finish compact foundation, Blemish cover stick and her oil-free pressed powder. I've tried all types of brands and can't get a better color match than this line because i'm really yellow. It's a bit expensive, but hey it's
  2. I'm on Yasmin birth control (acts like 25mg of Spiro) and 150mg of Spiro...it works for me. You just have to figure out if your acne is hormonal or not. I notice that when I skip the spiro, acne and the oilies come back.
  3. make sure you are taking it at the SAME TIME everyday i.e. everyday at 10pm for example.
  4. Mac gives me cystic acne. I've tried it so many times and have gotten MORE pimples and oil every single time. I've stopped using it and have turned to using Bobbi brown foundation. My face has gotten alot better by using her makeup. It's kinda pricey, but hey your face is worth it! I love her oil-free even finish powder foundation and oil-free liquid foundation. My makeup routine: oil-free moisturizer, oil-free BB foundation, oil-free BB blemish cover stick on pimpoles then dust on oil-free BB p
  5. Use Finacea gel instead of Azelex. Azelex broke me out like crazy cuz of the cream base!
  6. Azelex didn't work for me. In fact it made my acne worse! Perhaps cuz of the cream base? I've switched over to Finacea and I love it!
  7. Have you tried birth control? Yasmin worked for me (unfortunately i was on it for 3 months, got clear and stopped. What a dumb mistake cuz now I'm back on it). I was thinking about Accutane also but the side effects you have to deal with aren't worth it in my opinon. I have two friends that were on Accutane and it came back after 2 years. (They now both have cystic acne right now also). My Regimen Am: Wash with cetaphil (pat dry, wait 5 min.) cleocin T Sunblock Pm: Wash with cetaph
  8. Clearlight totally Worked for my sister and I. We both had cystic acne ALL OVER. Even makeup wouldn't cover it. I'd say we got down to about 85% no acne after the 8 treatments. However, it's not a miracle cure. You still need to keep it up after the end of 8 treatments. I haven't kept up with the clearlight so I have a couple of pimples here and there. Not as bad as when we both started the treatment that's for sure.
  9. It's worked for my acne scars, but I don't think it's helped me get less breakouts however. I'm thinking of switching to Tazorac.
  10. My regimen: Am C&C blackhead clearing scrub Azelex (azelaic acid) Pm C&C blackhead clearing scrub C&C continuous control acne cleanser I have pretty tanned skin.
  11. Azelaic acid (I use "azelex") is GREAT. It's been working extremely well for my sister and I in fading blemishes and clearing us up. Our friend recommended this to us actually, she used to have bad acne but now her face is absolutely FLAWLESS. I highly recommend it.

  13. For those of you using MD FORTE, here's a couple cheap sites to purchase: novaderm.com or dermatologistrx.com.
